Cambridge

Academia Lifestyle
The well-known Cambridge community is composed of three “squares” - Harvard Square, Central Square, Porter Square - and home to two of the best universities in the nation - M.I.T. and Harvard. Boston College is just a short drive away. Harvard Square feels like a mini-city, with great restaurants, fantastic public transportation options, and students aplenty. Central Square has its own funkier personality and a great spot for indie music, the famous Middle East nightclub. Porter Square offers a more residential feel, with numerous apartments and duplex living. The Harvard Museum of Natural History is a local favorite where visitors can enjoy natural-science collections.

There are many highly-rated restaurants and bars in Cambridge that provide residents with a great variety of nightlife options. Restaurants in the area include Forage, Nubar, Toscano, Benedetto, Russell House Tavern, and Cafe Sushi. For a night out, check out Paddy's Lunch, Shine Square Pub, Shay's Pub & Wine Bar, and The Cellar Food & Drink. Cambridge exudes the collegiate lifestyle - and is a great place for students and professionals alike to call home.

Cambridge — 7.6/10 Rating (based on 8 neighborhood reviews)
Neighborhood feels safe even in the dark. There are some homeless people that gather near the T if that worries you, but I've never had issues. There's good restaurants that deliver and grocery stores deliver as well.

Very safe, well lit. Mostly students in the area and Harvard’s campus security is always around.

I love the convenience of being near the T as well as the access to Alewife Brook Reservation. However, I wish there were more restaurants/bars within walking distance.

Lots of fun bars and restaurants nearby, super close to the red line. Head to Voltage for coffee, Friendly Toast for brunch, CBC or Meadhall for afterwork beers, and Fuji for sushi.

Cambridge is amazing but this does not feel like cambridge. It’s close to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods and iggys bread.
