Just west of Winston Salem is West Highlands, where many city-commuters choose to live due to its convenient location. West Highlands is brimming with places to shop, socialize, dine, and have fun. It’s close to a number of different restaurants, fast food, and grocery stores (including the Publix) so it’s very conveniently located. The only minor complaint is there is a middle school on the route to the law school that sometimes slows the traffic down but that’s of course only during certain times of the day.
