Note16 Review
I love Note16! There are great amenities, it's quiet, the neighborhood is really safe, and it's only a 10 minute walk from Peabody College. Carter Hasten Management took over in August 2022. Since then, they've been making a lot of improvements and renovations. These have been really nice (upgraded dog park, upgraded elevator, exterior repaint, etc.) but they've been going on for months, and have become really inconvenient/annoying recently. Additionally, with the new management, parking is no longer included in the monthly rent (it's an extra $50/month) and pet rent increased by $120/year.
Martin Flats
This building was built recently so it has clean, modern style spaces. If you are really sensitive to noise, this is not the best place to live. It really depends on who your neighbor is though..
Expensive
My apartment is very safe which was my main concern when apartment hunting. It is within walking distance to Vanderbilt Campus and Centennial Park. It's a beautiful apartment but not worth the cost. It is extremely expensive to live here and the cost is not reflected in the value of the property.
Note 16
The apartment building is very well maintained and all residents are friendly and quiet. Management is very responsive to any concerns and maintenance requests are done quickly. The proximity to campus is the best part about Note 16- it is about a 5 minute walk to Peabody. The main con of living in Note 16 is that the rent is extremely high (though about on-par with other apartment buildings in the area).
Don’t move here!
Awful management and overpriced rent
Not the best not the worst
I love the neighborhood and the amenities that West end village provides, but they have increased rent by $200 per person since we moved in and have continued to add additional amenity and parking fees with no explanation. There is also something always broken in our apartment at no fault of our own and it takes at least two days for a maintenance person to come check.
Nothing spectacular
i like the appartment but it is too far from campus to walk to class. it’s two blocks from centennial park and one block from centennial dog park so there are lots of dogs. It’s not too expensive but i also know places that were cheaper. Has a gym and pool and parking is included. overall it’s pretty nice but just too far to walk.
Great place to live
I really enjoy the apartment, well maintained facilities.
Barton is Pricey, but Worth it
The Barton is not cheap, but I have everything I need in my building or within walking distance. There are 2 grocery stores in walking distance, multiple restaurants, and lots of other exciting things. School is a 6-7 min drive. The Barton provides a gym, pool, common area, secure package area, printer, computers, covered and gated parking, and they put on events every month that are free for residents. The actual apartments are huge and have nice finishes and modern technology, which provides for precise temperature control from your phone. Great views of downtown Clayton too.
3.6 Roentgen. Not Great, Not Terrible.
It’s clean enough, not too old, and only slightly sketchy due to homeless encampments and a projects next blocked over. Yet, it’s loud because it’s on what is essentially a highway, and tons of construction.
Like most things in life, it’s a matter of expectations. if you’re used to living in a nice place, WEV is alright at best. If you’re not, it’s great.
Nice property, bad management
This property was great until the management changed. They began charging extra random fees with vague explanations and will add fees onto statements frequently.
New, affordable and compact!
Nice small space with everything you'd need in a compact area and great for the budget.
Great amenities and experience
Pretty great experience! The management is quite responsive to getting things fixed. Though it is on the slightly pricey end of rent, there are lots of amenities (including a nice gym, swimming pool, lounge area, TV room). The apartments themselves are quite spacious and the neighborhood is quiet, but reasonably close to campus.
Pretty good for the price
the property is great and on a quiet street and right near Centennial park.
Would be great for dog owner because it is a block from centennial dog park. My only complaints are that it smells a little like dogs. It is about a 5-10 minute drive to campus, would take like 25-30 to walk. It is also residential so there is no resturants or bars super close.
Luxury living at a good price
The apartment complex is mostly young professionals and is very quiet. The only downside is a noisy train but you get used to it. I barely hear it now unless the apartment is dead quiet. The gym is amazing there are 2 peletons, a seperate cycling/yoga room. The pool is beautiful. They’re are great amenities and the monthly activities are so fun. Definitely a great place to live your first year in Nashville because you’re so close to the city but also not in the hub of everything.
