Great place to live
The amount of space that this apartment offers in Cherry Hill is unbeatable. I have looked at smaller apartments in the same location (Cherry Hill mall area) that charge about 50% more and offer less space. It is ridiculous. You get a huge amount of closet space. One negative is that the laundromat is downstairs. However, this means that utilities are included at the great rate that they offer.
Great apartment for someone starting out...
My fiance and I moved here 6 years ago as our first place together. We really would like to move to something nicer but this building is more practical than nice. I really like that utilities are included and the location is amazing. It is so close to shopping and restaurants. I don't like the way the building is being maintained, there has been a huge hole in our hallway bottom wall for months and never fixed. Laundry machines are constantly broken and people will leave their clothes in the machines for hours after being done. Everything in my apartment is completely outdated -- I think we have the original cabinets that are just plain sad looking. Our closet doors do fall off track and maintenance has to keep fixing them. I would recommend this apartment for someone who wants a practical place to live and doesn't care to live in an updated building.
Amazing building in a very safe locality. Centrally located, easily accessible to the grocery stores, barnes and noble as well as easy access to the JHU shuttle that takes you to the Hopkins Medical Campus. In close proximity to the inner harbour as well.
A big problem in this building is rat problem. The solution that residents are using is to keep the cats at home. However, the location of the apartment is considered good since it's close to Loyola and Johns Hopkins. Also, there are security guards on every corner at night.
Safe and fairly affordable housing
The Marylander provides, safe, reasonably priced housing that is convient for JHU students. It is a short walk from the Homewood campus and located near JHMI shuttle stops. The building staff is friendly and helpful whenever I have had a problem.
This place is located conveniently right next to Johns Hopkins University and near the JHMI bus stop. It has a gym and social room. The staff has been very kind but since it is a bit of an older building, sometimes things don't all work as they should. Regardless of which, it's a good place to live and I have no outstanding complaints! Place is pet friendly.
Huge, vintage and social
The apartment is great for students and their families. Its almost three buildings connected together so huge. There is a dorm type feeling because of it. Management is generally great. But the building is quite old and they haven't renovated all apartments. My suggestion is check out the particular apartment before signing the lease instead of looking at a generic one. They differ quite a lot.
Good location, but old
We've lived here for more than 5 years. The building is old, and wouldn't say it's the best apartment. But it's very close to JHU homewood campus and the shuttle stations. It's better to rent the corner of the building (one or two bedroom apartment) since it's generally more quiet.
Its in a good location. The room condition is ok, relative old. Lots of rooms to rent. The manager and leasing officers are not the nicest person in the world. Overall its tolerable place to live. There are better option around the area but this apartment is very practical one.
I like my apartment it is a great place to live. The bedrooms are small but rent is very cheap. The neighbors are nice. I always feel safe in my apartment. It is good for pets. There is also a storage unit on site for every resident which is very spacious.
Conveniently located near Morgan State. It is about a 20min walk. My location is actually nearer to Johns Hopkins but that helps in the safety factor. Near Giant and other amenities. I had the 15th floor so it was nice views. Heating costs extra during the winter. Expect to pay $100+ more in the winters.
Facility is very bad but good location
One day, one side of my wall looks wired. This was because of the water leakage. This kind of events happen very frequently. They just stop water supply because something breaks. It is okay, but they usually give notice to us 2 days ahead. They never fix elevator (1 out 3), which stops working for several months.
Conveniently located in between 2 JHU shuttle stops, a walk away from several food outlets down the street, and super close to JHU homewood campus. This place is definitely a must-consider if you are coming to Baltimore and want all the convenience.
I am happy with my apt
Though the facility and management is not good, I like my apt because of good location. It is very convenient for taking JHMI shuttle and this area is relatively safe (many guards stay near). The rental is not cheap but it is durable price. One thing that I can't really understand is that the rent increases a lot annually. Don't know why.
Good for pets
I choose here because it's close to where I work, and I have a puppy. The location is perfect, close to many food places and public transportation. However, the heater does not work well during the cold times. Also, it's quite noisy because of some neighbors.
