Great experience so far. Newly renovated units and amenities. 3 minute jog from the building door to the lakeshore path, and quick walk across the park to Mariano’s for groceries or to CVS pharmacy. The park is a quiet sanctuary from the busy Loop.

The park right out the front door without having to cross a major street along with a grocery store 100 yards away makes it a fantastic place to live.

Wonderful apartment and management

Only downside is a slight (10min) walk to the train for my commute. Otherwise a really great building with great amenities and management.

DO NOT LIVE HERE

It's hard to find the words to describe how awful my experience was at this place. If you want to feel unsafe constantly, walk up and down hallways that smell like dead animals and that have trash everywhere, and worry that your car is going to get broken into all of the time (which it did), well this is the place. I had issues with my neighbor at first just being so extremely loud and fighting in the hallways; however, I know it's apartment life so I was very understanding. Then issues kept coming up with that neighbor. 6-10 people at all times staying in this one-bedroom apartment, screaming and slamming doors at all hours of the night. Exchanging of firearms in front of my door. The intense smell of weed filled the hallways and came through air vents into my apartment. Strange men pulling on my door trying to enter at 3 AM. I left multiple times to go stay with friends because I was genuinely terrified. My friends wouldn't even come over to my apartment anymore. I voiced my concerns to the office and was constantly told "Well they pay their rent so we can't do anything". Luckily I was only a few months out from my lease ending. I can't recommend young girls to NOT live here enough. It is extremely unsafe. Elevators were broken more times than they actually worked. Gates/doors always were propped open so the "gated community" aspect is false. My apartment when I first moved in was not cleaned (cigarettes in the window and disgusting air vents) and was told someone would come clean. No one ever did after I asked the office about it multiple times. This was the first apartment I lived in when I moved from out of state to Dallas. I wish I had read other reviews before moving here. Worst 11 months ever!!

Its a solid space, very nice five minute walk to campus. On the expensive side, but you're paying to have no commute.

It's Great

As a student, this place is an excellent place to stay. The gym is within five minutes walking distance, the quality is nice, the floor plans are well laid out. The views of the golf course are fun and make it feel less like a city.

The only downside is that because it is on a golf course, very rarely your car might get hit with a golf ball.

A Slightly Better College Dorm

8 management rating Reviewed by on

You don't get a full kitchen. The cheaper units have a mini fridge and electric stove (no vents) but I've lived there over 2 years now and the management is responsive, the maintainable team is very kind and responsive. Think undergrad college dorms without the communal restrooms, and it's pretty accurate. For those going to school around the DTLA area, it's pretty decent.

The space is comfortable and consistent. I did not give it a higher rating for a couple of reasons. The first and most prominent is that the leasing office is inconsistent with communication. If you are not already living here, they take a long time to answer emails (or sometimes don't at all) and hardly answer the phone. We worked with a leasing agent to actually get this done because the PT leasing office was nonresponsive.

As a resident, I have very little to complain about. Sometimes, the building can be smelly in certain areas, but other than that, it is awesome! I love how quickly maintenance responds to work orders. I love that there is always security at the two main desk lobbies. I love that there are restaurants connected to the apartments throughout the building.

The apartment itself is fine, the building and management are TERRIBLE

The management are a bunch of ineffective liars.
I could not fit my list of grievances in a 100 lines essay.
My elevator has been operative for about 3 weeks in a 10 month period, the hallways stink, the stairs are disgustingly filthy, there are break ins to apartments and cars on a regular basis, 2 shooting onsite in a 1 year period, they put my emergency contact as a cosignatory in the rent contract without informing me or my friend, they do not fix broken fire doors even when specifically reported, several bug infestations known, for a visit to park for 2 hours in the ample parking space they suggested I rent a slot for the month, doors and gates not kept up so thugs and homeless use our grounds as a toilet/camping ground, etc etc etc
When I reached out to them to say that if they were not going to provide me with the services that are stated and implied in the rent agreement that we should part ways, they said they would not let me break away from the lease without paying full 2 month rent penalty.
I should have gone to the Village or some other place.
