Great building in Alphabet City

The building is new, has a gym and a rooftop. It also has two elevators and doorman 24/7. The apartment is reasonable in size under NYC standards. The rooms have a lot of light, the social space not so much. Inside the apartment you get washer and dryer. The neighborhood is not the best, but there is a lot of young people and it's close to NYU (18 minutes walking).

Alphabet City Reviews

Alphabet City is great. It's quiet, safe, close to a few great parks, and has every type of good food under the sun within minutes, walking distance. The only complaints are that it's about a 30 minute walk to KMC and the subway options are limited.
Pros: Fun area. Lots of great bars and restaurants. Tompkins square park is nearby and the area has lots of small gardens. Reasonable price compared to the rest of Manhattan.

Cons: Small, old building. Heat and hot water problems are normal, as are cockroaches and mice. Nearest subways are about 10 minutes away.
Awesome neighborhood with great restaurants. Pretty far east, but still only a 20 minute walk to Stern. 15 minutes to the F.
Good mixture of bars, restaurants, and residential buildings and close enough to school to walk!
It's an ideal neighborhood to live in if you're going to NYU Stern.
Getting towards the shadier part of the East Village, but I've never felt in danger. Google "East Village" and everything you read is probably true. Great nightlife, loud, and affordable depending on where you decide to stop in.
Fun, great bars and restaurants, not easiest access to subway, but still manageable. Has a decent amount of supermarkets, both high end and economical. Walking distance from NYU.
Very cool neighbourhood
