Wonderful and safe location but beware of hidden fees!
Overall, my experience has been good.
However, there has been a funky smell in my apartment ever since I moved in and it has continued to stay.The energy bills are ridiculously expensive because everything in the apartment is electric (something I wish I'd known before I moved in). They range from $70-$130 depending on the time of year and I usually keep my thermostat at 68. Not to mention, the energy company may take a hefty security deposit. On top of that, water is about $15 per month and renter's insurance is also $15 (although you may have the option to pay a one time fee for about $150, depending on which insurance company you use). Internet is not included, either. After utilities, the total monthly cost ranges from approximately $1,500-$1,600.
On the bright side, the kitchen is massive and there is a very large washer and dryer in my unit. There is a copious amount of free parking and I am seconds away from The Rio and Downtown Crown. The complex feels safe, the pools are gorgeous, and the gym is nice. They also have a dog park and a complimentary shuttle to the Shady Grove metro (about 5 miles away). All in all, I would recommend this place.
