Grays Court

An amazing place to live in Graduate Hospital. About a 20-minute walk to campus and 15-minute walk to Rittenhouse Square. If you don't mind the distance, you get amazing value for a modern living situation in a great neighborhood.

Spacious Condominium in Graduate Hospital

I live in a townhouse right next to Naval Square in Graduate Hospital. It is a 3600 square foot townhouse with washer and dryer in the basement, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an office. There is a patio out back and the entire townhouse complex is gated which provides a nice sense of security. There is new carpeting in all the bedrooms and hardwood floors in the downstairs. It is a 20 minute walk to campus over the South St. bridge.

This neighborhood feels like a small, tight-knit community - I see friends around the neighborhood all the time! Once I lost my wallet nearby and a complete stranger tracked down my email to return it to me, with nothing missing. I love living here!

This small neighborhood is just south of Naval Square and offers an affordable alternative to Rittenhouse for those seeking a larger living space. The streets are very narrow but generally offer decent parking. The nearby power plant produces some mechanical hum, but never strange smells or smoke. The neighborhood is very close to the South Street bridge, offering excellent bike and foot access to UPenn and the Schuylkill River Trail. The neighbors are a combination of med school residents, nurses, and other local Philadelphians. The neighborhood has a safe feel and is generally very quiet.
