100% recommend

I absolutely love my building. I arrived to St. Louis for movein/orientation to discover the apartment I was supposed to move into was in complete disrepair and ended up having to find another place. I found 275 on the Park online and went to tour their units. They were incredibly understanding and expedited the renovations in my apartment to have it ready for me to move in that week. The commons areas are extremely well-kept up. They clean every single day. The maintenance staff and leasing agents are extremely nice and very accommodating. There are hundreds of residents but they know everyone by name. My apartment is absolutely adorable and it is the perfect size for me. There are many other grad students living in my building which is nice. Laundry is in the basement- never had a problem finding a free machine on any given day. Parking is in private lot. Safe neighborhood, 8 min drive from the law school. Pricey but absolutely worth it if you can swing it.

275 on the Park

I rented my apartment just as the new management company took over, and I’m so glad that I took the chance. The management company and my rental agent are kind and responsive. I was able to sign a lease relatively late in the summer, and everything went smoothly.

I have a dog, and 275 is very pet friendly. The four different buildings allow a lot of flexibility in terms of price and amenity balancing, and the bus to campus is on the corner. It’s also great to be right across the street from Forest Park.

Generally, the area is more quiet, but we are very close to CWE and accessible to most areas that students spend time.

Some of the buildings are under renovation, which is why I’m giving a 8/10. The new management company is very aware that some units and finishes are very dated and they seem to be working to fix that quickly.

As a note: the apartments used to be called Central West End City, and they have terrible reviews online. I cannot say enough about how the new management company has changed things.

Debaliviere Place Reviews

This is a city. There is crime in our neighborhood for that reason. The street is quiet, but a main bus stop-hub is a few blocks away, and consequently there are a lot of people just hanging out/loitering at the edge of the neighborhood. There was a shooting a block from our apartment on the main road this semester at a mini-mart where someone was shot in the leg and taken by ambulance to the hospital. Both my car and my boyfriend's car were broken into at night when we forgot to lock them - people will just walk along and try opening the handles to see if they're locked. We do not keep anything of value in our cars.
All that said, I do not feel unsafe walking my dog or walking home from the metro or bus stops late at night alone. There are usually other people walking their dogs around and there are lots of students who live in this area.
Pretty safe, well lit, always security at Debaliviere Station. Not much going on socially. One restaurant just opened up, and there's a minimart and a subway by the train station.
There is always a lot of people walking around near the metro stop and outside my building without an obvious purpose. I have been approached by two different people begging for money outside my building as well. Police presence indicates there may be issues with crime.
Quiet. No through traffic, only one entry, other areas gated. Nothing to do within a few blocks but convenient location between WashU and CWE
Neighborhood is quiet, but very close to transit and CWE. Accessible and safe. We have a few small restaurants and cafes where I live, and it seems like they’re building more.
The metro stop is always swarmed with loiterers. Have been offered drugs on my walk back. Other than that the metro is incredibly convenient and a money saver on gas an parking. Once you get away from the metro, the residential buildings are actually pretty and the trees and lawns are nice. Very few restaurants or fast food near by tho.
The neighborhood is nice- there’s a cafe in the bottom of my building and a few shops/cafes in walking distance. Otherwise it’s pretty much just residential buildings/houses with Forest Park right across the street. Also very close to the loop (tons of restaurants/theater/bars)
Great street, so many of my young professional or graduate student friends moved to this street after living elsewhere in the central west end. Safe street, gets pretty busy but can always find parking. Super close to WashU, Barnes Jewish and the Cwe.
