River Trace is an excellent option if you land on a fair market price, and Port Imperial is an excellent/safe area

The space for a 1 bedroom is excellent, and the commute into the city is solid enough for the price. From Port Imperial, it can me anywhere from 50 minutes to 70 minutes to get to the Washington Square Park. The building staff are excellent. The view of the city is fantastic, and easy to take for granted after a while. The neighborhood is also secure and well-lit.
