Geddes Hill

Good sized unit looking out over Geddes Rd into the Forest Hill cemetery. neighbors are mostly quiet, laundry is not in-unit but is in-building and free, basement has gym, study room, game room, printer. About a 15 minute walk from Ross, although much longer to Main St or some of the other places that MBAs hang out. One of the two bedrooms is split into two smaller spaces, so we have three people living in the unit. Fairly close to a bunch of fraternity and sorority houses, so sometimes the foot traffic outside can be rambunctious, but nothing too bad.

Top-Notch Amenities

Good apartment with many amenities. Honestly have very few issues with it except for the bedroom arrangement and small kitchen. It is a great deal if you have a couple roommates who are good friends and clean. Not many medical students live in this region of Ann Arbor (mostly undergrads), but its onl7 a 12-15 minutes walk to the library and you have easy access to the buses.

The building is only a three to five minute walk to the law school. It's a short walk to Starbucks, Jimmy Johns, and Pancheros, as well as bars like Blue Lep, the Brown Jug and Pinball Pete's. The bars can get noisy Thursday-Saturday but overall it's not been a problem. The building is right on the corner of central campus, so it's a short walk to the downtown area. This is a great neighborhood to live in if you're looking for convenience. The one major downside is that there isn't a grocery store in walking distance.
The neighborhood is very student oriented, with good bars and restaurants. The night life is a little more undergrad oriented, but still good variety of options. Ubers and Lyfts are always around, never have to wait long. Always feel pretty safe in the neighborhood as well as there are always people around and it's well lit. And again, super close to Ross so I can get to school in under 5 minutes.
Being so close to South U. and Ross is really convenient, especially for classes and frequent trips to the Jug or Blue Lep. Popular spot for undergrads, but good options for graduate students too. Small corner store and 7-Eleven are available for some grocery items; otherwise, you need to drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's down Washtenaw Ave. Nearby pharmacy is expensive - better to walk across the Diag to Walgreen's or CVS. But on cold winter days, the proximity to Ross is hard to beat.
The South U neighborhood is ideal for students due to its proximity to campus and social life. South Forest Avenue is just far enough to still be quiet without the loud frat parties or bar crawls.
Easy access to South U; Ross is a 6 minute walk; the Arb/IMSB/CCRD are an easy jog away. Location is FANTASTIC.
I do not socialize much with the rest of the neighborhood, predominately because it is all undergraduate fraternity and sorority housing. However, it is a fun neighborhood and is close to school and South University.
Mostly undergrads, so noisy on gameday, but it's fine. Lots of restaurants and bars close by.
Very close to Ross and bars and restaurants including BurgerFi, Blue Lep, Brown Jug, Charley's, Rick's, Pizza House, and many others. Only about a 15 minute walk to Main St area.
