Nice Condo

Nice place to live, building is clean and well maintained. Management is prompt. Note we rent from a condo owner, but no complaints about the building itself, so I don't have much to say about EB Reality, however I enjoy living there and my wife loves it.

Nice building good staff

I have lived at the marine club for a year now, The building has a nice court yard and decent gym. Great for dog owners since there is a little dog area in the court yard. Not a huge fan of the building layout though. Parking is not included in rent and runs over $100 a month

Amazing location, great people

Pros:
- location: right next to a BSL station; walkable to Center City, Passyunk, Italian Market; generally street parking available
- renovated apartment has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, wood laminate flooring, jacuzzi tub, in-apartment washer/dryer
- staff and management: always friendly and helpful; front desk staff are very professional and package service is great
- small but adequate gym in building, with hot tubs
- attached parking garage available (additional cost)
- awesome courtyard
- pet friendly

Cons:
- some details (closet doors, for example) are low-quality as if the renovations were hurried (used to be a warehouse)
- not a lot of storage space

Overall, a great place. Rent may be a little high compared to other places around the city, but the location and apartment features make it worth it.

Great bang for your buck

I've been living at the Marine Club for about 9 months. I really like it. It's one of the least expensive buildings in the city with a front desk and gym. Most of the apartments are modern with granite countertop, stainless steel appliances, new bathrooms, and in-unit washer dryer. I've been able to get back into exercising recently. The gym there is pretty big for an apartment building. I don't have a car, but they have a garage available. It's also within 100 feet of the Ellsworth / Federal stop.

Large Studio, and great building

The apartment is not a typical cramped studio, with the high ceilings and large square footage. It may not be worth the $850 a month, but the gym membership, and location make up for some of the price. Generally safe, not sure if the doormen really question everybody they don't recognize...but I'd rather believe they do.

Center City feel for a reasonable price

As a first-time, post-college city dweller at the start of my professional career, I couldn't be more ecstatic with my rental unit. The Marine Club offers high-quality living quarters in an ideal location for a great price. Located on the corner of Broad and Washington, the condominiums fall along the Point Breeze/South Philadelphia border; the neighborhood is only a mile away from City Hall (a straight shot down Broad) so it still gives off a Center City vibe. The entire building has recently been renovated with beautiful, upscale finishes. Management is very responsive and competent overall, including maintenance requests which are handled timely. Even though getting to the heart of Center City is only a brisk 20 minute walk at most, the Ellsworth Septa station is conveniently located a block away for bad weather days.

Point Breeze Reviews

20 reviews
From my experience point breeze seems relatively safer compared to other parts of the city. I feel safer here than being up in center city. The neighborhood is pretty relaxed and people mostly keep to themselves, which I personally like. Good for someone who is looking to not be bothered by other people.
Unfortunately, Point Breeze is a neglected black neighborhood that's currently being gentrified. There aren't many trees, there are a few empty lots and condemned houses but people are friendly, the corner stores are great, and no one I've known in this area has had any safety issues since about 2014 or so.
My neighbors are friendly and I feel safe walking around. I see lots of people walking their dogs. I'm further away from some of the restaurants in Graduate Hospital, but they are still in walking distance and I like being able to get away to somewhere quieter and feel like I'm coming home.
The neighborhood has had a lot of gentrification recently, and most of the houses on the block have been recently remodeled or are new constructions. A lot of young professionals around us. There isn't a ton to do within 3-5 blocks, you have to make it to South Street. But the homes/apartments are nice and affordable, the people are friendly, I feel safe.
The people on this side of Broad are super nice, and there is a strong sense of community. I love the diversity. The other side is all posh and rich yuppies tho they suck
Excellent community, a place where you can get to know your neighbors, and excellent food in the neighborhood! Near lots of buses and the BSL
Developing neighborhood that is really diverse and lively.
Point Breeze is a mix of residents that have been there for years and yuppies just moving in. It's also right next to the East Passyunk area, which has lots of bars and restaurants.
