Spacious apartment. You can get a one bedroom with a study room for less than $2,000. A lot of storage space. Parking is $100 per month inside or $75 per month for inside. The walls are thin so I can hear my neighbors upstairs (but they are noisier than the average because they had a pet and children). I have not had a pest problem but others in the building have complained. Management is a bit of a hassle, you have to stay on top of them to get things done, but that happens in most apartment buildings. Maintenance will get to requests in about 2-3 days on average.

I've found my experience to be top-notch. I have yet to have any issue that the leasing office is not able to solve. It is very easy to submit a ticket request and get someone to come in and fix it. I also appreciate that they write a note if they were in the apartment while you were away. It makes me feel much more safe and secure. The community is very friendly and the leasing office is very easy to communicate with.

Great apartment building

Overall good experience. Parking garage always needed maintenance because it would continually break down. However maintenance and the front office responded quickly to concerns. The property grounds were well kept and the appliances were new. Only an 8min walk from the metro stop and right next to PG mall

Ok place. They will raise the rent every year. Started at $1324 moved out at $1642 a month.

People let their animals pee all over the building and in stairway, watch your step.

It's a pretty nice apartment complex. The only issue is that they only allow 1 paid garage parking spot per apartment. The smaller outdoor lots are free though and I can usually find space if I'm home before 7pm.

Alterra is a great place to live. It is quiet and many students live here so it is always easy to get a helping hand.

I thoroughly enjoy the location, amenities, staff, and accomodations. I truly couldn't be happier, the transition from LA to DC was made seamless by the staff's help.
