Brookland Ridge

I lived in a one bedroom apartment at Brookland Ridge. The overall value of the apartment complex is very good. You are very close to the red line Metro, so parking isn't really a problem. This area is getting nicer and nicer, so I would get in here before the rent gets too high! The gym was good enough. There is no pool, but that may justify the affordable rent.

It could be worse

For the amount of space you get, the price is fair. However, the management is severely unprofessional. Don't ever expect to be notified if you have a package because they just don't care. The security is also a little lax. There have been a few times where I've been disrespected and have waited around for an hour to get a visitor parking pass at the security office because they were off hanging out with residents at their buildings in plain view of the office. Once I found a security guard sleeping at his desk and was then incoherent when I woke him up. If the rent wasn't so "cheap" I would have moved a long time ago.

great hidden escape from the busy city

This place is awesome, I'm close to work and they are very efficient. Maintenance is always prompt and the rental office is very nice. AND THEY ALLOW PETS! The only downside is that the grocery store is far if you don't drive. But other than that it's great.

Great Affordable Place in Brookland

Brookland Ridge is definitely one of the most affordable apartments in the area. It's close to everything while still being kind of tucked away from the hustle and bustle of busy DC and you get a good amount for you money. And the accept pets! Overall it's a great place to live.
