Bartram 2x2 review
Maintenance comes super fast, there’s always a parking spot in the garage, the apartments themselves are really big and
Roomy. There are two pools (one quiet and one where people hang out), it’s never too loud and I can’t hear the people on either side of me, and the leasing office is great. I have had one fruit fly issue that the whole building dealt with, but I think this is a Gainesville problem. I am in my second year of living in the same apartment.

You get the bang for your buck
Only a 5-7 minute drive from the UF law school. There is little to no traffic in the route to get to the UF campus. The apartment is very nice. The complex is geared towards graduate students. It is quiet, with nice amenities.

The Bartram Review
They do lots of seemingly unnecessary maintenance

Avoid at all costs
I would avoid this apartment building at all costs. In 2023, I was in an abusive relationship while living at the Bartram. My abuser (an ex) was on the lease, but not physically living in the apartment. I asked management to take this individual off of the lease or change the locks, but my repeated requests were dismissed despite irrefutable evidence that this person was dangerous and unstable. Despite the police being called multiple times, a restraining order, and a no trespassing order, the general manager told me that "all parties named on the lease have equal legal rights and access to the apartment." I ultimately moved out to protect myself and my child. However, I recently found out that this dangerous individual will be moving back into the Bartram. The leasing office is disgraceful.

Very nice
Really nice people and they really try to make it a great place to live. But sometimes they try a little too much, constantly making changes that cause inconvenience while they are completed.

Great for Post-Grads
Most of the residents are post-grads or working professionals, so it's typically quiet around the property. Located across from campus and a short drive to the law school. There is a bus stop directly in front of the complex. You can walk to the stadium on game days. Great for pets, specifically large dogs, since there are no breed/weight restrictions, and the dog park and nature area on the property are both large and well-maintained, like the other amenities. You do have to pay a pet deposit, but no pet rent. The parking garage is small and lower levels get full, so be prepared to park on the upper levels at night. The property, including the parking garage, is fully gated with badge access, but watch out for people propping gates open or gates not shutting all the way. It happens. Management periodically caters in breakfast for residents, puts on holiday parties and contests, and throws pet parties at the dog park. The clubhouse has a Starbucks coffee machine where you can get regular coffee or chai tea lattes. The gym is two floors and has lots of weight machines, dumbbells, cardio machines, a Peloton, a rower, and bands/medicine balls. It's nice. Packages are delivered to lockers and you are emailed a pin number, so you don't have to worry about porch pirates. The units themselves are well-maintained, and the maintenance crew responds quickly to any issues. Units aren't huge, but the 2 bed/2bath is spacious enough that I don't feel crammed in with my husband and large german shepherd. The bedroom closets in my unit were both great sizes and provided plenty of storage. There is also a lockable outside closet on the balcony/patio that provides more storage. Unit comes with washer/dryer units. They aren't anything special, but they get the job done. Just don't wash a large load or it won't get dry for hours. Kitchen has granite countertops and sink has a garbage disposal. Pantry is small, so don't buy in bulk. Overall, this is a great apartment choice.

The Bartram is Ideal for Law Students
The Bartram is a gem in Gainesville. Although it might be a little bit higher rent than some other properties, the amenities are completely worth it: the pools, the gym, the clubhouse (with study space and free coffee), the dog park and dog bath, secure parking garage, and the staff are constantly cleaning/courteous/responsive to all requests.
Also the 2/2 floorplan is spacious and great for roommates.

The property is clean and modern
I love where I live. The building and amenities are very clean and modern. It is usually a very quiet place to live. My apartment is pet friendly. There are two pools, a gym, and a common space/clubhouse. They host regular events for residents (holiday and non holiday). There is a parking garage and it is gated. In order to enter the building you need to have secure or "swipe" access.
