Solid apartment choice, pretty average

The apartment building is old, but nothing wrong with it. They have monthly, preventative extermination, which I really appreciate. They’re usually pretty good about responding to maintenance requests. Unfortunately, residents do not have control over a thermostat. There are old style radiators, which can be loud, and my apartment gets so hot in the winter that I use my a/c units and leave windows open. I’m not sure about the other units, but in my unit, my closets are oddly shaped and do not actually have the depth or correct angle to fit hangers, so I had to buy a clothing rack. The tile wall for the shower in my unit is also not really tile, it’s some sort of plastic, tile-esque wallpaper. Not a huge deal, but it did come as a surprise.

It’s very close to UPenn and the trolley, so the convenient location is probably my favorite thing about this building. The area feels safe. For better or for worse, there are usually city and university police patrolling this area.
