Good residence for students living at York University. Free internet, electricity, and hydro included with the rent. Very close to campus, with all buildings, including the gym, within walking distance, as well as various restaurants and other campus facilities.

Living at Passy is great. Its close to campus. There are a few downsides. The temperature controls are finicky. There are definitely times where it is too hot/cold. Other downsides are that there are no elevators (not a great thing for groceries, furniture, or children). Also note, is that there are only 4 floors so the elevator is not a big issue generally. Also, there is no buzz-in feature, so you have to go downstairs to let guests in.

The apartment was surprisingly spacious and we have enjoyed having a private entrance to our place. Having a corner unit with lots of windows instead of the balcony has been very nice for the amount of sunlight we get and that we can still use the space in the winter. There was more storage and closet space than expected in the bedroom, but the bathroom and kitchen are lacking and there are some cupboards that exist but are positioned too awkwardly to use. Management has not been responsive about our needs for repairs in the apartment. We have also been without a laundry room for going on 8 weeks and have not received any updates about when the repairs should be finished.

Subsidized housing. Close to campus and public transit. No extra maintenance costs. Lots of food options nearby. Very safe with university security patrolling and cctv + go safe initiative!

Very old buildings. Ancient carpets makes it difficult to clean. In serious need of overall renovations.

The apartment itself is fine and it’s nice to be close to campus. If you don’t have a car the surrounding area really isn’t easily accessible which makes grocery shopping a nightmare.

It's a student residence so it isn't perfect. The issues that happened last year were: problems with WiFi, cold water, and fire alarms going off. This past year they have mostly resolved the issues, but occasionally cold showers happen and fire alarms happen for no reason.
