You get what you pay for: great overall
At one of the more expensive price points in the area, the property and amenities are expectedly great. I happen to have run into several issues with my apartment (AC broke, Water leak), but maintenance was generally helpful and fairly timely with their response.
The community is quiet, mostly long-term tenants from young family-elderly. People seem to keep to themselves.
Since moving here, I have seen several other apartments whose interiors are very comparable for moderately less $ (though I have seen very few with comparable community amenities), but you also pay in part for the location in south roanoke rather than far north amenities

Great place to live for a medical student
Sunscape Apartments are quiet, clean, and well maintained. There is no issue with available parking, and you can choose to rent a covered carport spot if you want to and they are available. The grounds are frequently landscaped and the trash is kept neat. The apartment itself had newer appliances, and is large for a one bedroom. I am able to study any day of the week with minimal noise disturbance. You do have to use the apartment contracted internet, which isn't the highest of quality, but it is generally functional.

Quiet, great management, pet friendly
Great place to live! The management is really on top of things. It’s super quiet and they are super pet friendly. The amenities are great. There’s a gym, pool, hot tub, tennis court, racquetball court, dog park, and outdoor grill/patio. It’s so nice to focus my time on school and not deal with any problems from the complex. I would definitely recommend.

Great Experience
While the apartment is a little pricier then some in the area, it has been everything I could’ve asked for. It is very spacious, neighbors are quiet, amenities have been above expectations, and all work requests have been fixed same day.

Sunscape for VTCSOM Student
Sunscape is about a 10-12min drive to campus, which admittedly is a little further "commute" than living downtown, but I appreciate being able to get away from it all. The facilities are amazing and I am loving the amount of space and light that I get for a great price. I think it is worth it, especially since there is no traffic! The one downfall would be there is no walkable places, you must drive.
