Farther than most, but not a bad place to live

My family struggled to find a place to live that would accommodate both our German Shepherd and house cat. This complex does limit the number of pets to two, but does not have restrictions on either pet breeds or weights. Pet rent is $25/pet.
While the commute to campus is longer than most, it only takes me about 20-25 minutes from leaving the complex to having a seat in class. Location is close to the airport, Target, Sams Club and the mall. Noise from the airport is not an issue.
The one issue I have with this place is that management is sometimes slow to remedy problems with our unit. For example, our freezer went out shortly after moving in and it took them several weeks to get it replaced. Also, our windows have been leaking and water collects on the windowsills. It took multiple calls and maintenance visits to even convince management that the problem was more than just condensation on the windows.
I'll also add that, while other reviews online of these units focus a lot on thin walls and being able to hear your neighbors conversations, we have not found this to be overly true. Can you hear your neighbors, yes. Is it apartment living and this should be expected, also yes. We have not found this to be a problem, despite what others have ranted about online.
