Great, safe, gorgeous, but very expensive.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time living at Town Walk and have especially loved how close the Farmington Trail is to me. When I had a maintenance issue they resolved it within 24 hours and it was really easy to put in the request. Hamden Hills in general is a very safe area, especially for a single, young woman like myself. Honestly, the only bad thing I can say about living here is just how outrageously expensive it is (that's why I'm moving out next year). If it was more affordable, I would have stayed all four years here. The only other thing that's been a nuisance is how sensitive the fire alarms are. They go off pretty often any time I cook, but I put in a maintenance request and they seemed to fix it.

Great complex, expensive

Town Walk is a great place to live, but highly encourage roommates. Amenities are good, complex is clean and safe, maintenance is fast and responsive. Big drawback is price, as it can be expensive for one person. With a roommate or partner splitting, it is a good place.

Does the job

Overall experience was fine. Apartment is a good size for 2 people, but kitchen is small. You can pay extra for updated appliances, but rent is already high. Maintenance is responsive. Management is hit or miss in responsiveness and clarity of answering questions. I wish there was a gate to get in for added security, although there have not been significant security issues. Lots of places to walk dogs. Fairly private, noise is not an issue unless your neighbors are particularly disrespectful. Overall monthly expenses exceed $2000 when gas, electric, and internet/cable are included.

Not too good not too bad, average experience

I would not describe this as the most bang for your buck apartment complex. The good: room sizes, kitchen appliances, neighborhood feels safe, dog park, package room, neighbors

The bad: feels fairly outdated in the units, only one unit in the whole complex has vinyl throughout and the carpet honestly sucks, the gym is really lacking especially for the $65 per month amenity fee. There is a serious lack of lighting provided, there is no lighting in the bedroom provided for example which is strange.

Most of my complaints are very small minor issues, overall I have had a good experience but not exceptional.

Great but Expensive

Town Walk is a great facility with an awesome management company. Town Walk is pricey however.

Fantastic place to live

Town Walk is the perfect place to live as a first time renter. My dad was able to co-sign our rental agreement, so there were no issues. When looking for an apartment, Town Walk was the most receptive to answering my phone call questions. They were extremely helpful in registering my cat as an emotional support animal. Additionally, they are extremely quick at answering maintenance complaints (but we have not had many)

Super safe and great location!

I searched really hard for an apartment that felt safe and was a good value and this one has not disappointed! A lot of QU Law students and students in general live in Town Walk and although it's more expensive it has a lot of great amenities.

Town Walk is a great place to live for graduate students

I love that Town Walk has such a variety of people living there. I see families with children, college students, young single adults, etc. I also really appreciate that it's pet-friendly so I can have my dog visit and I can see dogs around the complex. Our amenities are a lot better than you would expect for only $25/mo. We have 2 pools, community centers, and a gym. Plus we're right next to an entrance to the Farmington Canal Trail to go for walks, runs, and bike rides. One of the best parts of Town Walk is how prompt the maintenance team is. They almost always fix issues within 24 hours, and they go above and beyond to find long-term solutions. There is also an emergency maintenance number for 24/7 service that I have utilized and been pleased with.
