Good apartment for cost
My apartment is conveniently located in Hyde Park, within walking distance of Hyde Park Square and Rookwood Mall. There's plenty of grocery stores and gas stations nearby. It's 10 minutes from campus and downtown. There is free off-street parking. It's an old building, so all of the apartments are walk-up (no elevator), and there's no central air conditioning or in-unit laundry. Management is okay, recently switched to a new company so we're dealing with that. The walls are really thin and Madison Road is really loud, so if that would bother you, this is not the place for you.

Great neighborhood (about 15 minutes from the school or anything else you may need to get to on a daily basis).
The unit itself is mostly updated and more spacious than expected.
Exceptional management. I had to cancel my tour last minute and the landlord offered a virtual tour. Always quick to respond and complete repairs.
Only downside would be laundry. It is included, but not the nicest laundry facility.

Good apartment for cost
I have lived in my apartment for a little over a year now. I have had an overall positive experience. The apartment itself is an old building, but very well kept. It in centrally located in Hyde Park and very close to shopping and restaurants. The management company is also great and very responsive to maintenance issues and other problems.
