I wouldn’t stay here if it wasn’t so much trouble to move
I moved here because Woodward Properties had great online reviews. I knew it wouldn’t be luxury, but the reviews said it was clean and management was responsive. Little did I know that the people who owned it sold the company (while allowing them to keep the name with its good reputation) a couple of years ago. Since I moved in, it has been steadily going downhill. There is trash everywhere, the dumpsters are not emptied often enough, the common areas are not cleaned well or often enough, and I’ve been having a significant problem with mice despite keeping things as clean as possible. If it wasn’t so expensive and exhausting to move, I would. I moved here for school and have decided to just stay here until I’m done at this point (I’m over halfway now), but I’m very disappointed.

Great for a budget
The management is great to work with, and the price is much better than a log of places a little closer to campus. It takes me about 20 minutes to drive to Villanova & about 40 to drive home (because the traffic is much worse in the afternoon than at 9:30 am). The 69th Street train, bus, & trolley station is a 10-minute walk, so you can also get pretty much anywhere from there, including Villanova. However, the direct train to Villanova doesn’t go to the station next to the law school - it goes to the one on the other side of campus about a 10-15 walk away. To get to the one next to the law school, you have to take a bus & then change to the train, and it takes much longer. The apartments are nice and well-maintained. The maintenance staff is excellent. The area is a little more sketchy than some, but I do not feel unsafe. I just don’t go out alone late at night and walk the streets.
