Gateway Lofts

I've loved my time at Gateway Lofts. The management team at FrontDoor is friendly and quick to assist in any problems or maintenance issues that come up. Our complex is located in the Grove, so it is perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, and bars in the area. The walls are somewhat thin, so we hear a lot of noise from our upstairs neighbors and from the hallway. Lots of space, modern appliances, allows pets, decently equipped gym, and options for garage or lot parking.

I've been here for roughly a year and a half now. I moved in with a friend who had the apartment before I started law school and then renewed the lease but had a different friend (and classmate) move in during the pandemic. The pandemic was one of the largest factors in my renewal of the lease as I didn't want to navigate moving in the middle of a public health crisis. The unit is nice - all utilities except internet included in rent. There is garage parking available but that is $75/month in addition to rent. Pretty spacious layout, although remote classes have taken over our general living space and would appreciate some division of space but the open concept living area makes that difficult. The building is pet friendly, only requires a one time $250 nonrefundable deposit - no additional pet rent per month. Maintenance is amazing with the complex - most non urgent issues are resolved the next day (or business day if you report and issue over the weekend). The building is generally quiet and the street is as well - we are located in The Grove neighborhood which has a nice mix of restaurants/bars/breweries. My only qualm is rent. I wish it was a bit less/hadn't gone up during the pandemic.
