Quiet newly managed community

In a year I’ve had about three different property managers. There were issues with a few other residents: a shooting and a break-in. Although crime right next door was terrifying, the overall community is quiet. But I feel like paying 1300 a month to have carpet all over my apartment is too much. There was insurance issues where the company took out a policy in my name and decided to tell me about it by snail mail that they didn’t have my private insurance on file even though it never expired or lapsed. Hopefully under this new management and ownership things will change.
