Overall rating 6.6/10, based on 5 renter reviews Write a review
One of the better places I've lived
Throughout my time in College Station, I’ve lived in several different apartment complexes, and the Cottages is definitely one of the better ones. They offer a variety of floor plan options and use individual leases, so I only pay for my share (1/3) of the total rent for the unit. The complex is pet-friendly, the pool is great, and the gym is well-equipped.
The only downside is that packages are delivered to the office instead of directly to your unit or mailbox, which can be a minor inconvenience—but it’s pretty standard for most places I’ve lived. The units come unfurnished, but you can rent furniture from the complex for a small additional fee (around $10–$30 per month).
Overall, it’s been a great place to live and one I’d recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient apartment in CSTAT.

Cottages Review
Available for a good price, but only somewhat affordable because living in a 5x5. Close proximity to my classes and roommate matching was good, I really like them. Walls are a bit thin and common outside areas can be a little loud.

The Cottages
It has always been fairly clean and well kept by management. Rooms are good size and living area is nice.

Don't Live Here
They screw up my billing regularly, won't answer emails when I'm trying to pay my rent without accruing late fees, Internet is slow, the front office claimed my dog had fleas and threatened to charge me even though she never has and when I showed them proof that she was checked by a vet for fleas and had none they refused to answer my many calls and emails. Honestly the place is kind of shabby and there have been so many screw-ups since I moved in.

Review of the Cottages
The apartment complex is nice, but if you plan on taking the bus it's the first stop on the campus bus route meaning it's kind of far. If you are looking for a quiet place to live and study this is maybe not the best option because it seems like there are a lot of undergraduate students who did not follow the rules regarding parties and large gatherings during covid-19. Other than the parties the property is nice, clean, and spacious. My room is great and the kitchens are spacious as well which is helpful if you like to cook.
