Decent Apartment in a Nice Neighborhood

Nice refurbished apartment. Management is a bit disconnected, but they respond very promptly to repair requests. Not much sunlight. One parking spot per apartment, which is limiting (uncovered parking can be a ways away). Pool and gym included. Zero pest problems. Neighborhood feels secluded and pleasant. Park and walking trails nearby, and the people are nice. A few coffeeshops, restaurants, & bars in walking distance, but easier to drive.

Poor management but good area

The management is difficult to get in touch with and often closes their office unexpectedly. It's difficult to lease without going in person and they have very high requirements of your finances to be eligible to lease, a simple RA/TA position won't suffice, you need a hefty savings account. It does have a pool and a small gym, it is relatively quiet and close to stores/restaurants.

Boulders Reno Review

It's a nice place! Definitely a little rundown, but not much. The staff is friendly and timely, if a little clueless at times. Applying was incredibly easy, and the room looked just like the model room they showed (minus furniture, of course). Not too much sun, but gorgeous views over town if you're walking outside. Really nice neighborhood, but kind of a pain to bike out of (I have to bike on Fourth St or McCarran to go anywhere). Has a nice pool, hot tub, and gym, too (haven't used the gym). Parking can be a pain, as you only get one designated covered spot, but if you don't mind walking a few minutes to your car you'll be fine. Rooms are pretty spacious, which is nice. Never had a problem with pests.

Is ok

The streets close to the condo are not safe, and people drive super fast. You can hear your neighbors through the walls. Many people don't clean their pet's poop. The people from maintenance and the office are great.

Overall pretty good, just some things to be aware of

Overall the apartment is pretty great. The complex is safe and nice, there's a good nearby walking trail and park. The apartment is large and the new maintenance staff is great. Depending on where you live in the complex you may get great sun or none at all. Unfortunately, we were in an apartment that got no direct sunlight ever.

However, they will keep a huge chunk of your deposit (~$250) when you move out for "standard cleaning and carpet cleaning fees". We had no damage and an extremely well cleaned apartment, so much so that the maintenance guy thanked us for making his job easy. Even still, they refused to waive the fees. They said it was in our lease which it WAS NOT. Just be aware of that and ask explicit questions over email about move out fees so that they can't charge you unjustly.

Boulder

These apartments are close to campus and they’re safe. They also have good parks around them. I’ve had no issue so far
