Get what you pay for
My experience at Peaks at the Park has been a "you get what you pay for" situation. The rent is incredibly cheap for the amount of square-footage and area. I enjoy the spacious living room and kitchen and my cat is a big fan of the carpet. My apartment doesn't have direct sunlight, but I think others in the complex might.
Management is retroactive and forgetful. I had lived in my apartment for a full week when maintenance showed up unannounced because management told them the apartment was still empty. I had to be proactive in getting information about how to access my mailbox, laundry facilities, as well as a copy of my lease: none of this information was provided upon move in. Parking and laundry are only accessible on the back of the building, while the door faces the front. This means that I walk around the block to get to my car and laundry facilities. The area is dark at night and does not feel particularly safe.
