Lofts at WS 2
Loved renting from here. The place is a little fancy, definitely not a cheap place, but worth it if you're wanting to treat yourself. But, I felt the amenities and location made it worth it. There's a mandatory 100$+ amenities fee, and it includes Internet, Cable, On-Site Gym, on-site home theater and access to the bike share located literally in front of the building. Not included was parking, though for ~25$/mo you could get a pass at the parking garage located about a block away.
Location wise it's great; located between Beamer's, Tuco's Tacos, and a brewery. That makes it pretty great if you're a grad student getting back from the lab late at night and need to grab a bite instead of cooking. The heart of downtown is about a 10-15 minute walk.
These are lofts, meaning that the floor plans were very open; if you want closet space you won't find it here. The place is built from an old warehouse and has the original lumber. My unit included two wooden beams that ran vertically along the hallway, and I loved the atmosphere it made.
The walls were, unfortunately, a little thin. I could hear my upstairs neighbors vocal performances when they got amorous, and occasionally murmurs of TVs. Another downside is that units along the outer walls, like mine, will have an entire wall that faces either Salem street and all the wonderful noise associated with it, or the literal railroad. Keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper. The benefit to outer walls is gorgeous, huge windows that let in a ton of sunlight (an unfortunately, street light at night).
My unit had a small kitchen that was open to the main living space, which included a mini-dishwasher. I first thought this was cute, and then grew to hate that a single pan took up 1/4 of a load and I ended up hand washing half my dishes. My unit also had a modern in-unit washer and dryer. All appliances were rather new, and worked well. Other than the aforementioned tiny dishwasher I had no issues.
Management was great, and had occasional get-togethers or movie screenings for residents.
The complex requires an electronic key fob to get into the building, which is great for safety. Not so great for delivery.

Decent price with good proximity to downtown
Overall, decent value for the location. I will say, the rent IS fairly expensive relative to property you can share with other people 10-15 mins away (sometimes as low as $400). Being close to downtown though is really nice.
Parking is located across the street in the parking structure adjacent to the police station. Costs about 25/month. The area is fairly safe but can be poorly lit at night. Thin walls.
