Concord Residence Hall

I have not necessarily enjoyed my experience here, I am rating it as high as 5 because of the convenience and things that are included. Overall, while there is a kitchen it can be challenging to find times to cook. Other residents tend to not treat the bathroom or other common areas well so they are often dirty. There is minimal privacy from neighbors as sound easily travels out of the room and into the hall. One person has a service animal which often barks when he leaves the room. Although there are amenities that I have been able to enjoy my overall experience of actually living in the dorm has been below average.

I appreciate the accessibility of on campus housing

I really have been enjoying my time in Concord, overall the room itself is spacious and the staff is wonderful. They regularly clean shared spaces (the kitchen, bathroom, etc.) and there are personal cabinets in the kitchen to lock food/cooking materials in which makes it convenient. There's also a laundry room and study room with a whiteboard that is easily accessible. Useful books on present and future classes are also regularly found in the study room as well.

On campus living

This is a standard dormitory situation - single room with shared bathrooms and kitchen. The rent is affordable and easier to incorporate into loans. Single-gender floors are cleaned multiple times a week, which is nice. Trash and recycles are taken care of. During finals, quiet hours are observed. Campus security is friendly. The dorms should be updated, especially with little cosmetic tweaks but that's true of most of Delaware's campus. In general, this is a good value for what it is.

The building's location is near the campus' entrance and relatively close to restaurants and general department stores. Although the building is noticeably old, the rooms are spacious and have lots of storage. The central air-conditioning and heating is an added bonus along with the in-room microwave and refrigerator. I also feel safe and secure due to campus safety 's office located on the main floor. While maintenance does a great job in handling pests in the shared bathroom and kitchen, the downside to the building are the noticeable cracks/holes in my room's ceiling and pest issue specifically ants during the spring season.

The apartment is spacious and a good value, much less than any other apartment I could rent in the area. All appliances and furniture are included. I have 3 closets and in unit washer and dryer. The only negative thing is how dated it is, I don't think it has been updated since the 80s/90s (except appliances), so some of the furniture smells bad.

The dorm is nice and so are the accomodations. The security guards are super helpful and the staff is nice

I like it. It’s not expensive. I’m allowed my ESA. It’s a bedroom with communal bathrooms and kitchens.

The a/c is constantly going out. We were not warned about living with animals, and I, as well as others, are severely allergic to the animals within the hall. The kitchen smells weird every single day. I can’t even describe it to you. The bathroom smells like mildew and mold and is so unreasonably slippery every single day. The shower liners have become a cesspool of mold. The stairs somehow always have a mysterious liquid on them and also smell weird. This place is honestly kinda gross and it has nothing to do with the cleaning staff. The cleaning staff do an amazing job with the awful situation they are given.
