Dewhirst Properties
The Keener Building is a great spot and my studio apartment has a surprisingly affordable rate of $1000.00 a month. The location is by Balter Beerworks and I live close enough to walk to campus every day. The walk through World's Fair Park on a daily basis is nice as well. The studio apartment is perfect for my situation as a grad student and the apartment is much quieter than student focused apartments closer to campus. My only issue with the area, which is beyond management's control, is the amount of homeless in proximity to the building; but this is a greater Knoxville problem, not a issue with the apartment itself. The only other minor issue is that the old brick style of the building, it's a refurbished manufacturing building, can make electric bills higher due to AC/Heating use during periods of extreme heat or cold weather.
