Spacious and convenient

Apartments have a lot of space for the price, especially compared to others in the area. I stay in the largest 1bd1ba but there are other floor plans with less sqft for 1250+. Very close to school, only takes 5 minutes to drive there. Pool is nice but nothing special and the hot tub was removed from the property. Very pet friendly with a dog park. Huge indoor basketball court and club house, and decent gym.

Do not move into Firestone apartments

Living at Firestone has been a rollercoaster experience for me. While I will admit management has done a much better job here recently, we were having multiple break ins a week, our gate didn’t work for MONTHS, our pool had to be shut down due to being in violation of city ordinances, we have had swat at our apartments multiple times (even tear gassed my building once), we have had issues regarding felony convicts w/ active warrants being housed here, we have had domestic violence issues, and we have had 4 homeless people caught living in our attic and making peepholes into people’s living rooms. I would not recommend this complex to anyone.

Good location, bad building

Firestone has a great location. It’s close to the law school, a short trip to the cultural district and all its shops, and has easy access into the heart of downtown. In addition, it has the best gym of any apartment I’ve seen.

The building itself, however, is a mess. The maintenance is in shambles. I had no air conditioning when I moved in in the middle of the summer, and it took a month and a half to get it fixed despite calling every day. I have a hole in my windows and a broken condenser for my AC that have not been fixed in over a month currently either, in addition to myriad other small issues with the apartment that have not been fixed since I moved in. Also, it has a lot of homeless camping next to it, which makes walking to anything unpleasant.

I would strongly recommend against anyone staying here.

Changing management seems promising

Location is great, easy walk to downtown and only 15 minutes to the convention center. Gym is fairly well maintained with a good variety of equipment. Gated community is nice compared to other complexes downtown, although not all gates work consistently. Prior landlords were aggressive with towing non-resident visitors and occassionally towed residents. Pet rent is egregiously high at $50/month plus a nonrefundable deposit. Water temperature can be inconsistent at times due to the smaller water heaters. Living directly on 7th Street can be loud during the evening on weekends. New management acquired the complex in December 2022, and they seem easier to work with.

Great apartment, slightly pricey

The location of this apartment is truly the best part—I love it! The management is fairly hands-off but has always responded quickly when we needed help from maintenance or had questions.
The neighbors are all pretty nice, and so are the amenities. You sometimes have to park a bit aways from the apartment, but there’s always a spot somewhere.
Really the only downside is that it’s on the pricer end.

Firestone W. 7th

I very much enjoy the location as it is in downtown, about a 30 min. walk/6 min. drive from the bars off of W. 7th, a 10 min. drive from the Stockyards, and it is close to the trails by the river as well as a local basketball court there. Additionally, I really like that the complex has a basketball court and a gym that has a bench press, deadlift area, squat machine, multipurpose station, and isolation machines in addition to other free weights and cardio machines. I also really like the pool setup.

The main aspect that I like the least is the price.

The neighborhood is safe.

There is a new manager and management is now very responsive.

Manage Expectations

Firestone is a fine apartment but it isn’t the luxury housing that it advertises. It’s a great location with great floor plans. It just doesn’t seem likely that management will get its act together to have this place live up to its potential.

Terrible Property Managers

Firestone looks like a great property from the outside, but in reality, it is falling apart and has tons of problems. The company that owns and manages Firestone does not care about residents or their concerns. Work orders have not been completed in a timely manner and there are always new problems occurring with my unit and across the property. There is constantly trash everywhere and many fire codes being broken. I would not recommend anyone live here. I have had many problems with the office staff and property in general. Trying to manage these problems and law school has been a huge burden. I thought paying so much would eliminate these problems, but it has not, now I am just unhappy with the service of the property and quality and I am overpaying.

The neighborhood is very safe, family-friendly with lots of pets. There are a ton of restaurants and stores to go to very close by, and it’s also very close to Keller with all of those stores and offices as well.
I like living in Fort Worth because it has a lot of the features of a city without all of the problems of a city. It’s also close enough to Dallas (30-60 mins) to spend time there if that’s more your speed
I always feel super safe here. The fire station is across the street, the police station is just a few blocks away, cops patrol the neighborhood, and TCCC security officers are always around. The parking garage is gated but is also available to visitors through a call box, and I’ve never had trouble finding a good parking space.
It is a nice neighborhood. It does not have a community per se. It is the bar district, so it is often loud at night. But the police are always patrolling, keeping the area safe, and there are some good restaurants and museums very close by. It is a super easy drive to the law school. Overall, it is a great place to live.
Near Southside is an up and coming neighborhood with lots of new entertainment and food options! It’s a quiet area and I’ve never felt unsafe with all the people around. Magnolia is mostly restaurants and medical offices so it’s never overly crowded or too much traffic.
Magnolia is great, there heaps of places to eat and shop that aren’t chains or corporations. It also has fun festivals and events throughout the year.
Great neighborhood area. Filled with families, people with pets, and college students. There is a good mix of people and lots of restaurants and things to do nearby. There is also a wonderful shopping center next door.
The neighborhood is incredible. Walking distance to four coffee shops, restaurants, stores, etc. It's great to walk around, and I love being within walking distance to all these places to eat and study.
