Capitol Towers: If you have no other options

At first, things went fine. Utilities are included in rent, which was good. Shower had great pressure. In the heart of downtown, a stone's throw from the state capitol.

The building is very old. There's a very loud train nearby that can be loud at night.

Unfortunately, the pest problem became a dealbreaker. Multiple cockroaches, dead and alive, found throughout the building. The morning I found one in my room was the morning I knew I could not stay. Landlord tried to gaslight me hard on this and tried to threaten me with a lawyer. All utilities are gas powered, which is usually fine, except one morning, there was a gas leak left on for hours but no evacuation order: huge hazard.

The building is right by the bus station, so if you don't have a car, it's a great way to get around town, but ultimately, I found it far more convenient to just live closer to the school and have groceries delivered.

My studio apartment was cramped: kitchen so small almost no room to store food or cook.

It worked when I needed to find a new place in town fast, but I would never move back there.

Great Value for Just the Basics

There aren't any amenities besides a small gym with a treadmill, so if you're looking for a place with all the bells and whistles this may not be for you. However, it's a secure building, rent is way cheaper than a lot of other places, utilities are included, and maintenance requests are handled very quickly. The location is also great because it's in a quiet area but is a 10 minute walk from Broadway and other downtown attractions! It's also a 5 minute walk from the bus station if you plan to commute by public transportation.

Great price for the location

This location is right next to the bus depot, which would be perfect for someone without a license/ international. Property has some issues and is pretty old, but can't beat the location for the price.
