Nice location for Microsoft employees in redmond

The Onyx apartments is a nice vicinity in Redmond. The prices were reasonable when we started but at this point its sky rocketed everywhere so Onyx is no different. With the prices going up we did not see any improvements in the amenities. The management has become much more friendly now than what it was 3 years ago.

Even when I have taken a new leased apartment on the first day of my move in , I saw lot of Issues and I had follow up many number of times to get it fixed, even now few of the issues are still left unresolved . They have really very very bad service.

Good Value but Missing Useful Things

The society is pretty good in terms of value but the flats have less storage overall for a couple, both in kitchen and otherwise. The society open area & entrance have very less lighting which makes it feel unsafe at times. Its close to public transit and office, which is the best thing.

Mr

Worst Management. The staff is very rude and mean. They don't bother to resolve the issues. I logged a request and it has been more than 2 months, it is still pending for remediation. I don't remember if I ever got good service and attention to the problems that I am facing in the apartment.

Redmond Reviews

There has not been a big focus on the part of the city to develop its economy like other cities are doing. Their policies state that they seek to develop a vibrant downtown. Vibrant it is not. It's pretty dead, and there are no good restaurant choices. I can't wait to leave.
There is good public transportation into Downtown Seattle. It isn't super busy which I appreciate. Things are a little bit spaced out, but still everything that I use is within a half mile. My commute is less than 30 minutes by bus or 20 minutes by car, and my wife can walk 5 minutes to her work.
Closer to Microsoft campus.
Lot of Indians and as well as access to Indian groceries shops and restaurants.
Place is closer to both RTC(Redmond town center and Bellevue square mall)
Lots of great food options, bars, shops, grocery stores. Safe. Lively.
The centrally located transit center (bus lines to Bellevue and Seattle), spacious mall, and walkable shopping options (Trader Joes, QFC & Target) make Redmond an ideal neighborhood for singles and families alike. School are great, night life (local bars) are okay, and fine and family dining are all nearby. Welcome home!
Pros: Close to stores, close to park and main highway. Great staff, free parking, walking distance to local gym and grocery. Close to schools.

Cons: Tiny gym, parking garage door not working.
Neighborhood is close to work and public transit with good quality parks and walking trails. There is no grocery store or retail shop at walking distance.
