Not bad, could be worse

The apartments seem to be spacious for what you are paying for and almost every apartment comes with a balcony. However, pests are an issue. During the beginning of the school year, most times getting on the elevator to leave or go up to your apartment can have a 20+ minute waiting time which isn't ideal if you are on the top floors. Repairs can take awhile, I had plumbing issues. There have been at three times in the span of a month where they shut off the water to our building with little to no notice. The location is nice though, close to the E line as well as various schools. It's nice to have a grocery store within walking distance as well as various restaurants.

Sunny apartment, great view, great management

The management and service have been wonderful, fast, and helpful, but we often have problems- either with pests, neighbors, or with noise. While the price of rent is okay for Boston, it rises every year and will soon be too high for me to renew.

It is a little overpriced

Location is great for school and public transportation, but overall a very expensive place to live in. The area is not that clean either. Also, sometimes it gets noisy during weekend nights. If you like quuiet places to live in, this may not be the best choice.

Nice place for a student

Nice place near university which is affordable and is at reachable form T stations, bus stops, grocery store and banks.
Affordable, with excellent security.
I love the modern amenities. The best part is that it has a balcony! the view is spectacular. We can see the city view where Prudential can be seen and is just breathtaking in the night.

Way too Expensive

You can find much better place at same value other than this. The Olympic size swimming pool adds to the place's glamour as well. Luckily, there are no nearby neighbors so we haven't had any issues with noise complaints. Unfortunately, the mansion is not metro-accessible so it's a little hard to get around.

Good!

I live in CityView apartments. The apartments are very spacious and well lit. The rent is very high and difficult to afford as students. Parking is expensive. Amenities such as elevator, swimming pool and gym need improvement. Staff is very friendly.

West Fens is, in my opinion, the best place to live in Boston. Pros: short commute downtown, plenty of transit options, lots to do (bars, restaurants, etc)., near plenty of stores (grocery store, TARGET!, Marshall's, etc.), quiet streets, and right next to the Fens for when you want your nature fix. I don't have any cons, personally. It's my ideal location.
Extremely close to Berklee & Boston Conservatory. Lots of restaurants, walkable to grocery & pharmacy. Can be loud, & can be scary to walk alone at night due to dark park & history of assaults, as well as nightclub traffic from Machine.
Great neighborhood! There are plenty of shops and bars and restuarants nearby to explore. It is also very close to transit areas. It's generally quiet, except on game days at Fenway. On game days, the streets and roads become very crowded and can get loud. It's not very loud from my apartment, I don't notice it, but it can change depending on where you live. There are stores and markets for shopping and groceries within close walking distance. The location downtown is great for me.
being a block over from fenway park there is always something happening. it’s very exciting to be right in the middle of all the excitement but being down one block as to not have to hear it all the time. there are so many great bars in a walking distance and so many little restaurants that are tasty
It is a good place. Easy to access also it has tons of cafes, groceries, and restaurant
It has a residential feel even though it's right downtown. Everything you need is right in the neighborhood, including a grocery store, CVS, hardware store, liquor store, etc.
Very safe place and you have accessibility to whatever you need
amazing and surrounded by cafes and bars
