Fenway/Kenmore

Signature Boston
Home to the historic Fenway Park and the Boston Red Sox, Fenway is a great neighborhood for young people. In fact, the park was named after the neighborhood. It is also home to the arts, such as Berklee School of Arts. This community boasts plenty of eateries and bars surrounding the ballpark and has seen the recent growth in the number of new skyscrapers that benefit off of the nearby baseball business.

While Fenway-Kenmore is most known for Fenway Park, there are plenty of trendy options in this neighborhood. Kenmore Square is a hotspot for socializing. Lining Lansdowne street, different sports bars and clubs are always packed with students at happy hour. Cultural landmarks that are definitely worth a visit include the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and Symphony Halls.

The restaurant and bar scene is a huge plus for residents of Fenway-Kenmore. Restaurants in the area include Au Bon Pain, Yard House, Sweet Cheeks Q, El Pelón Taqueria, Tasty Burger, and Eventide Fenway. Great bars offer plenty of options for a night out and include The Squealing Pig, Cask 'n Flagon, Bleacher Bar, Tony C's Sports Bar & Grill, and Baseball Tavern. Fenway-Kenmore is great for young professionals and students alike!

Fenway/Kenmore — 8.5/10 Rating (based on 32 neighborhood reviews)
Great neighborhood! There are plenty of shops and bars and restuarants nearby to explore. It is also very close to transit areas. It's generally quiet, except on game days at Fenway. On game days, the streets and roads become very crowded and can get loud. It's not very loud from my apartment, I don't notice it, but it can change depending on where you live. There are stores and markets for shopping and groceries within close walking distance. The location downtown is great for me.

Fenway is a fun place to live as a young adult. There is a lot of great options for food, entertainment and shopping nearby. It is not necessarily a quiet place, but that aslo comes with the fun of always having something to do nearby. For the most part it is a safe place to live and convenient location.

West Fens is, in my opinion, the best place to live in Boston. Pros: short commute downtown, plenty of transit options, lots to do (bars, restaurants, etc)., near plenty of stores (grocery store, TARGET!, Marshall's, etc.), quiet streets, and right next to the Fens for when you want your nature fix. I don't have any cons, personally. It's my ideal location.

The Fenway area is a great place to live. You've got the green line (I know) right there that will take you pretty much anywhere. Lots of bars and restaurants and a grocery store as well. It's a good place for undergrads and I found it very enjoyable living there.

I love the Fenway neighborhood and truly believe that it is a very safe neighborhood with great access to resources, restaurants, bars, and many other things. There is a Star Market and Target within the neighborhood so I can easily find essentials I need in a hurry. I, along with others in the neighborhood, have frequently walked around Fenway at night/in the dark, and have never felt unsafe!

Fenway is the heart of entertainment in Boston. That was the draw for us to live here; however, it comes with the price of noise until the 10:30 pm ordinance.

Love the neighborhood it’s right by Berklee but they are doing a lot of construction in the area. That’s probably my biggest complaint is the construction on the weekends and the lack of sunlight the apartment has for the price

Extremely close to Berklee & Boston Conservatory. Lots of restaurants, walkable to grocery & pharmacy. Can be loud, & can be scary to walk alone at night due to dark park & history of assaults, as well as nightclub traffic from Machine.
