Really nice first apartment

Building is really young, has a reputation for being a place for right out of undergrad young professionals. Staff are awesome - and it's noteworthy that it even has staff. Full doorman building with mail room and everything. Gym is included first year, plenty nice for being right in the building. Apartments are fairly new. Murray hill is a great location for young people. Besides being a bit expensive, no real downsides. I'd do it all again the same way.

Amazing But You Pay For It!

Windsor is absolutely gorgeous - it appears like a hotel. The doormen and front desk staff are wonderful - willing to go above and beyond for you at a moment's notice. You also can't beat the location - right by the 4/5/6 and many restaurants, stores, etc. The units themselves are clean and completely renovated. My unit is very spacious except that we split it among two people with a flex wall. To me it never feels cramped despite that. The building is also very young and pet-friendly, so it is great for those just moving to the city out of college. One complaint is the difficult with the management company and leasing office - subletting is near impossible, you can only move in/out on certain days, and they are very inflexible with their policies to the point common sense is lost. Finally, the price is insanely high, especially if you move-in over the summer. I pay a lot for where I live because I think the building itself is worth it, but it definitely makes a dent in my bank account. Overall, I've lived here 3 years and loved it!

Large building, predictable neighbors

Beware that this building is a total frat house. Everyone moves here straight from college. You cannot leave your apartment without seeing someone you know wearing their college's clothes. Close proximity to Brother Jimmy's where you will inevitably find yourself every Thursday night.

Fairway and Trader Joes are very close by. Bit of a walk to the 6 train. Use free NYU shuttle from Gramercy Green to commute to school. Duane Reade opposite the building. Great for Indian students as it very close to all the Indian restaurants and grocery stores around 28th and Lexington.
Pros - Fairway at 30th/2nd ave, which is wonderful. Route E shuttle goes to 30th/1st ave, so it's easy to get to and from campus on weekdays. Very quiet area, but with lots of restaurants and a fair amount of nightlife. So close to Penn Station, which makes it easy to get to the airport and to leave the city.

Cons - It can feel far from the heart of campus, and I'm constantly taking cabs and public transit back and forth; combined with high rent, this can get expensive.
Night time can be quite loud due to the bar around the corner.
you cant beat living near gramercy. there is some low-income housing nearby but you will find that anywhere in newyork.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in this neighborhood and it is just a short walk to get to others. It is near Baruch and NYU Langone if you work there. There's a Fairway here and they are building a Trader Joe's to be open next year.
Overall a lively neighborhood close to the action downtown and to work in midtown. Proximity to public transportation is great too. Good grocery store (Fairway), movie theater, and a handful of decent restaurants nearby too. Most
A lot of young professionals in the area, ease of access to subway, ease of access to many restaurants and bars, rent seems to go just a little further here (value wise) than further downtown
Not much to see, do, or eat here
