Income Restricted Property w/ Great Amenities

These apartments are in a "up and coming neighborhood" so you at the least be aware. I think in 2 years or so, this area will be completely revitalized and honestly I like that its not completely overwhelmed with young professionals. The apartments themselves are really nice. All new everything including W/D combo. Since everything is new, nothing is ever broken which is great. Not a ton of storage. It's about a 15 minute walk to H ST and pretty easy access to Union Station via bus. All hardwood floors.

I've had one unpleasant run in with the management office but for the most part they are fine. You can pay rent online which saves me the trouble of going to the office before they close.

The apartments are income restricted so you do need to be aware of that. When you call to inquire or visit, they'll let you know the details. Note, the income restriction makes the application process 50x harder and more tedious. Be prepared to set aside at least 1 hour to complete the application.

PROS: new everything, washer and dryer in unit, dishwasher, energy efficient appliances, income restricted so rent is cheap

CONS: bus doesn't run super late and not walking distance to metro, neighborhood doesn't have a great reputation, management office is okay but could definitely be better
