Great apartment but a tad pricy. I think the amenities and location are worth it.

The perfect match for a couple

Best value for money that I have encountered so far. But since it's a condominium it might not always be the case, still we couldn't have asked for more. Location is superb. Maintenance team and a couple of concierges are stationed 24hrs a day and are super nice. It has w/d inside the unit and the bedroom is huge, it might accommodate a small child too. Hardwood floor in the living room.

I love living here!

The doormen are the greatest. In this building I feel safe and secure, have an incredible gym and pool, and am in an ideal location.

Highly recommend

Building is awesome! Doormen are the nicest people in the world. Property managers can be difficult/rude but don't have to interact with them much.

Decent apartment but horrible management

The apartment building is nice and the location is convenient. The apartment itself is fine but has some annoying inconveniences. The air conditioning went out during the hottest stretch of the summer when temperatures topped 100 degrees. The dishwasher and combination washer/dryer run extremely loud so definitely cannot run these machines if you're trying to sleep. The required membership with Comcast makes negotiating a contract very difficult. The sink is comically small, it's not possible to fit even a frying pan inside. There is 1 drawer in the entire kitchen and with the current setup, the drawer doesn't open fully because it bumps into the washer/dryer. The combination washer/dryer takes 4 full hours to run one small load. I'd be willing to swallow all of those inconveniences, but the management group at Allan Domb has to be the most incompetent group of "professionals" that I've ever met. Upon move-in, my unit was not move-in ready. They had forgotten a repair to the bathroom, so I walked into a half-finished construction site. I spent 4 days without a functional bathroom, and then when they came back to finish the job they butchered it so horribly that it had to be re-done. This meant another 2 days without a bathroom. When I complained about the service the team was completely unresponsive and when I threatened legal action they finally agreed to meet with me. They acted as an intermediary between myself and the condo owner during negotiations for reimbursement, and somehow managed to communicate the wrong offer to the condo owner. All this to say, they have successfully mishandled EVERY interaction I've had with them and I would never live in an Allan Domb unit again.

Luxury Rittenhouse Condo

Beautiful building, excellent location, and awesome restaurants nearby. Really great gym and pool for an apartment. The doormen are fantastic as well. It is fairly expensive, but well worth it.

great location and amenities

great location, doormen, gym. only thing I would fix is elevators are slow and building management can be a bit strict. my apartment is kind of small, but i got a pretty good deal given the amenities and price so I'm pretty happy

Rittenhouse Square Reviews

Walnut street is very safe - there's always people around and it's well lit. The neighborhood includes all of the fun aspects of living in Philadelphia - tons of access to food and bars, nearby grocery stores/markets, access to the parks and the Schuylkill River Trail
Very close to fun restaurants/bars/shops. Close to the subway as well as the train station (suburban station).
Rittenhouse is the safest part of Philly. It's a very "happening" part of town—lots of restaurants and bars on every street. At the same time, it's right next to more residential neighborhoods to walk around in and explore. It's a great place to live relatively close to the law school but with a degree of separation so as not to get trapped in the law school bubble.
The neighborhood is both quiet and lively. There is so much around, but I have never had an issue sleeping or studying because there is too much noise. The broad street line is a 10-15 minute walk away and we are close to shopping, food, the park, and the river trail. Has everything within a 10-15 walk.
This neighborhood has everything I need within walking distance. Shops, grocery stores, parks, the subway and trolley, post office. You name it. It's very safe and extremely quiet, which helps when I'm trying to study. The Rittenhouse Square area is really the best place to live in Philly if you don't mind paying a little more.
I love this neighborhood and knew I wanted to live here when beginning my apartment search. The park is one of my favorite places in the city, and I love being able to easily access all the restaurants and shopping nearby. It's also an easy (~20 minute) walk to Penn Law, and the walking commute has always been a nice and peaceful part of my day.

Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
Love the neighborhood, Rittenhouse Square is beautiful and we are so close to the more commercial areas like Walnut Street while not being in the center of the craziness. Plus we are within walking distance of public transportation including 10 minutes from the 15/16 street PATCO station. I personally think it is one of the best areas of Philly to live in.
Rittenhouse Square has a park in the center surrounded by a bookstores, restaurants, and a public library. It is open to pets and often has open art / food markets on the weekends. It is close to the Broad Street Line and PATCO. There are many families who live in the area. It is affordable compared to other major cities (NYC, DC, Boston), but there are certainly more affordable areas in Philadelphia, simply without the luxury of being so close to Center City.
