Coda on H - NoMa in DC
It was vital to me that I remain in DC while in school. This meant a higher rent price and a longer commute, but it was important to me. This apartment is less than a 5 minute walk away from Union Station, allowing me to take the MARC train up and down to Baltimore each day.
Expensive
Nice place but over charging
Comfortable and Centrally Located
The community in the complex is friendly and clean. Management is quick to respond and easy to work with. Three nice pools with vending machines at two of them. Small gym with some dated but functioning equipment. LuxerOne mail holder.
Great location if you are a DU student
I have lived in this complex for 2 years. The location is top-tier if you attend DU, but the benefits stop there. Management is unresponsive. Their phones are always off, and there is almost never anyone in the office. The facilities do not justify paying $2200+ per month on rent. The individual units themselves are nice, as long as you don't have a unit that has carpeted floors.
Unsafe, poor management, not worth the convenience
Our first year here was alright. The neighborhood was sketchy, but building security was fine. But management changed and things went down hill.
Issues include:
Homeless people and drug addicts get into the building all the time and trash the facilities.
Packages getting stolen is almost guaranteed and management does nothing about it.
Elevators are down all the time with no warning or notification.
If somebody parks in your spot, they won't tow it and you're just SOL for the next 24 hours.
Internet in the "Soloprenuer Room" (communal office) is spotty at best
Management has a history of letting themselves into rooms with no notice
They're also beginning to charge a monthly fee for parking.
Great office and people
Quiet place with good neighbors.
Not so clean and Noisy
The front of the building is not bad but if you live in the back there is a lot of dog s***/pee just at the back entrance. Also I would not trust the pool inside. If you like noise and dog s*** you will love the place. If you do not have the rule on paper, do not trust what the administration tells you, they are good at collecting the money.
Great Experience
Beautiful complex and wonderful staff. Dan`elle was friendly, caring and very helpful. I will tell all my friends to live here.
Close to Campus
Only a 10-15 minute walk to campus and super close to fun spots in Dupont and Georgetown. Very pet-friendly, and everyone is very friendly.
Legacy West End Review
Worth the money!
Great Place to Live
My wife and I have two small kids (3 and 1). We rent one of the townhomes here at the Dylan, and we have loved it. The area is nice, maintenance responds quickly when needed, the amenities (pool and gym) are good too. The paint on the walls is cheaper, so it scuffs easily, but other than that I can't think of many complaints we have about the place. It's cheaper than most other places for the size that it is, especially since the amenities are included.
Close Proximity: An Out of State Student's Dream
The apartment complex is adjacent to the school which makes commuting extremely easy. I love that I am never adjusting my commute according to weather conditions. Plus I always have the option to stay at school late, walk home for meals (to save $$), and sleep in a little later. I also love the proximity to my job prospects: Ada County Court House, Supreme Court, many firms, and more. I can easily roam to network and entertain myself on the weekends by walking to any nearby park, the North End, and more. I also save money on parking because I park in the school's parking lot versus paying $150 through my apartment (FYI the parking lots are the same structure just different floors haha). My building is also close to Main Street Station (bus transit) like a 5 minute walk at most. The close proximity to the bus station is great because as students we get free bus passes which I have used to run errands/get to appointments when I don't have a car.
More about my building and less about the area. I have lived in the same building throughout law school (from August 2022 until post graduation depending on if I move for a job). I began in a studio and moved to my current unit a year later. During my time, the building has always been extremely quiet and I have never ever had a concern about it being too loud to study. Moreover, many other law students have lived in the building at the same time as me and, from my understanding, have also loved it. The building is extremely secure requires key-fob access to every exterior door along with a few interior doors. The building is very clean with a cleaning crew coming in every few days or so. The management is incredibly kind, warm, friendly, and understanding of students; they are always working with me and never against me. I could go on and on about my appreciation for where I live, but I believe the fact that I haven't moved in over two years speaks volumes.
Great for college students.

G12 is a good place to live
The staff is nice, it's a safe place near the Pico station, also 2 mins away from the USC tower (where you can have shuttle bus to the campus). However, it's located in downtown LA so still have the possibility to come across homeless, the surrounding environment is just so so.
Big, Open Floor Plans; No Amenities
Overall, Patterson Tower is a very good place to live - especially if you like a lively nighttime ambiance, as it is located close to many fraternities/sororities and other undergraduate housing. The floorplans are spacious, you can't hear your neighbors, and management is responsive to residential needs. Unfortunately, the rent is quite high for an older building and it does not include many amenities. Street parking can be hard to find and the monthly parking pass at the apartment is astronomically expensive ($80/month/car) - if they even have a spot available. Note that the common area electricity is split between the tenants, which means you'll be paying your share for the elevator/TV that is left on overnight. Otherwise, I would absolutely recommend the complex as a place to live!
