Amazing building

This building is very nice. It is an older building that has been renovated and each unit is different based on landlord renovations but the overall building is pretty modern looking. We have a pool, full gym, steam room, sauna and hot tub as well as a social room and sundeck with grills so many amenities

The building has really nice amenities and most utilities are included in rent. All units have in unit laundry! It is about a 12-15 min walk to campus.

We have had a great experience in this building! It's a condo so all utilities except electricity are included in our rent and electricity comes out to about $40 total per month for the entire unit. The building staff are friendly and helpful, and the building itself has a terrace, a huge gym w/ a pool, a well-organized mail/package system, and a social room that is open to residents unless otherwise booked. We also love that our living room is very spacious and has huge windows all around, with beautiful views of the lake and city! We have had to do a couple repairs around the apartment but building maintenance is very responsive when our landlord puts in requests.

Printer's Row South Loop

10 management rating Reviewed by on

Printer's Row is at the top of South loop along the Chicago river in a very safe area that is currently developing a good amount of brand new high rises. Its right along the blue line so usually <5-10 walk to the station. Restaurants, pharmacy, and groceries close by. Loop and Parks by the lake are also walking distance or quick b line trip. Its also a pretty affordable area for a 1 bedroom compared to West Loop.

Living in a Landmark

9 management rating Reviewed by on

Great location within walking distance to groceries, train stops, nightlife, restaurants, and shopping. The river walk is your front yard and is perfect for daily exercise needs. The apartments all have balconies for summertime enjoyment. Building has security guard 24/7 and package room with attendant. The bottom floor also has a convenience store to buy a quick meal/cleaning supplies/drinks etc.

Cons: outdated units, parking not included and expensive in the area, have to pay for laundry on 20th floor of the building.

My experience at 474 N Lake Shore has been great so far. The gym in the unit is one of the best for the area, the front desk staff are all wonderful, the sundeck on the 16th floor is a nice spot to hang out, and the views from my unit of lake michigan are unbeatable.

Excellent experience so far! Doorman are very friendly, tenants are great. Very quiet, good spot for people with families, pets, kids, etc, and great views from the lake side apartments. The gym doesn't have a squat rack if that matters! Highly recommend.

Great building to live in. Attentive doorman service 24/7, nice gym with high end equipment, spacious common areas in the apartments as well as roomy bathrooms. Small closets in the rooms but lots of storage space elsewhere in the apartment. Great balcony. Nice having wooden floors in living room but carpeted bedrooms.

I think our apartment building is great! Top notch amenities, especially the fitness center. It is fully capable with a pool, which outmatches all the other apartment complexes that friends of mine live in. Everyone on staff is incredibly nice and welcoming.

Luxury Facilities in an *almost* great location

9 management rating Reviewed by on

The building is fantastic, so is the management and facilities. I especially appreciate the gym, pool and jacuzzi in the building. The neighborhood is also very quiet and convenient, with amazing views of the lake.

The only downside is the building feels a bit isolated. Even though it is in the middle of the city, it would take 10-15 minutes to walk to Michigan Ave and 15 mins walk to the closest CTA train, due to some strange street designs and missing connections. All-in-all a great building to live in, particularly if you have a car.
