Awesome Place

Great building to live in. Attentive doorman service 24/7, nice gym with high end equipment, spacious common areas in the apartments as well as roomy bathrooms. Small closets in the rooms but lots of storage space elsewhere in the apartment. Great balcony. Nice having wooden floors in living room but carpeted bedrooms.

Fantastic location (which is also a con)

LOVE the apartment, area, neighborhood and front desk. However, our unit is above the CTA which is a pro (easy to get to work and around) but the noise is a con. While it's not hard to sleep at night with the noise, I haven't gotten used to it yet and it's hard to tune out.

Vision On State Review

Great location, building employees are amazing and very sweet, the management is always available. Love the unit, massive 1800 sq feet, huge bathroom, washer dryer, appliance fairly up to date, great owner always responsive to my needs. Rent includes internet, cable, and electric which is amazing. Gym has your basics - treadmill, elliptical, weights, etc. Really love my unit for the price, great balcony over Lake Michigan, and really feels like home. Downside- gym equipment, average business center, parking is pricey, and occasionally the train you can hear if you listen for it.

Great neighborhood just outside the craziness of the Loop. You're still very much "in the city" and it's easy to get to any corner of the city. A decent selection of bars and restaurants nearby, and very convenient to grocery store, Target, Roosevelt Collection, etc. Neighborhood is very pet and child friendly. Always feel safe, even late at night.
Close to everything, but not so close it's congested or a headache to get from place to place. Trader Joe's, Jewel, nearby. Plenty of bars and restaurants walking distance. Walking distance to the el, Soldier Field, the Shedd. Also, easy access to the expressway if you're driving.Street parking is typically plentiful, except during events at Solider Field (parking ban during games).
If went further south than 22ND street it tends to get a little sketchy, but overall a nice area.
South loop has a great number of breweries and a decent number of restaurants (not like west loop or more northern neighborhoods). Great biking/walking/running ability with lakefront path being close and roads with good bike lanes.
The train line is very close by it is also 10 minute walk from the actual loop printers Row is also very close by the Roosevelt collection shops are nearby as well
Lots of grocery stores. Some good restaurants. Close to the park and Lake. Can use the Metra like students in the loop but can also bus
Not the trendiest neighborhood in the city, but the location is perfect for commuting to Hyde Park and exploring on the weekends.
Overall, this is an amazing value for the dollar. Me and my girlfriend love the location and the view from the apartment.
Very safe. I often walk from CTA Roosevelt alone in the evening (I am a young female) and do not feel unsafe.
