It's great, quiet, and gym downstairs and a pool. Close to Trader Joe's, Georgetown, and Whole Foods.

Incredible Deal

8 management rating Reviewed by on

This was an incredible apartment for a steal! It included parking, gym, pool, 24 hr concierge w/package services, and most utilities. The only things we had to pay for on top of this were electricity and internet which came out to about $130 a month combined. The location is perfectly situated about a 15 min walk from campus, and is right next to a Trader Joe’s. Overall would recommend to any student!

Great place

Definitely on the expensive side, but management is great, the tenants are quiet. Most people here are families or professionals (few students) so there are no parties or loud noises. It's very close to Trader Joe's and within 5 min walking of Safeway and Whole Foods. The Georgetown GUTS bus stops right in front of the building, which is amazing.

Beware of unannounced fees

1 management rating Reviewed by on

Beware of Move-In and Move-Out Fee of $200 each NonRefundable plus $750 check to hand both time in case you damage walls, elevator, etc. Also call your own handyman if need to as their one (May Plumming) charges $600 for 4people to come and turn all the water on to see if there is a clog, that's without fixing anything! New management is rude. I lived there for a year and before I moved out they asked for a check of $200, saying that is going to be cashed ONLY if anything damaged during move out, which didn't happen so I thought all fine. 48 days after I moved-out they cashed it, 48 days after I am gone! When I reached out the new manager said ohh this was Non-Refundable despite both her front desk agents said otherwise. I am never asked for move-in nor for $750, and that $200 was said not going to be cashed so not sure when she came up with these fees. But nevertheless I shouldn't have been charged after 48 days. Of course despite trying to reach out again she just ignored. Other than location nothing worth there.

Building and location are great. Wish it had more amenities such as a rooftop or grills but overall a great place to live.

Amazing

Neighborhood is very friendly, Lees crowded than many in NY (no sirenes). Depending on location F, A, C and 1 trains might be close.
No big stores (cvs, whole foods, etc) only local markets.

I love the Altavista Condo. It is very safe and apartment is spacious. The bedrooms are on the smaller side, especially the 2nd room, but overall good size. Each unit comes with a storage unit which is great.

Great spot!

9 management rating Reviewed by on

Living in Arlington is a little far from campus but it is a great spot with a lot going on. Altavista is right above the metro and a five minute walk to the Ballston Quarter, target, and tons of restaurants and bars. So happy with my location. The condo is a nice size with gorgeous views.

Great location, okay building

5 management rating Reviewed by on

I personally love our unit and its location, but the building as a whole can be very frustrating. It's in the middle of renovating the elevators, which has been going on for the past year (should have been done a while ago). And in the summer, the electric is pretty high (but in the winter, we actually rarely pay anything). It sits directly on top of the Ballston metro which has been the best thing ever, and to Mclean, it's a 10 minute metro ride. They've also built the Ballston mall right next door so shopping and eating is very very close. Overall, I wouldn't give up the location but man do they need to hire a different contracting company.

Great place to live in River North!

8 management rating Reviewed by on

Great quiet place to live in the River North community close to all the restaurants, bars, etc. Only complaints are that there is no rooftop or communal lounge area + slow elevator + little far from nearest train station. Also love that there's a dog park right next door.
