Good
Overall, this is a good apartment.
Solid Apartments for Graduate Students
While the apartments aren't the newest, they are pretty nice, especially for the price. They offer a student package that includes utilities and rent, and access to all other GSC apartment amenities. The maintenance team here are really nice people who are happy to help out. The apartment complex is all graduate students and some families. It's outside the center of town so it's quiet, but it's still on Franklin Street, so it's close and everything is easily accessible. There are 4 separate bus lines that stop outside the building that take you directly onto campus. I met my best friends here!
Good place
It is a good place to live. Has a gym, pool and is relatively close to the business school. It takes 15-20 min on a bicycle (not electric) and 40 min by bus (it takes time to wait for the bus and everything)
Not luxurious, but great option to save money
$1500 for 2 bed rooms, including utility fee within 15 minutes walk from Fuqua. The best option for saving money. It's a bit difficult to invite friends because friends typically living in luxurious apartments along the 9th street, but there are many more ways to hung out them and you don't need to invite your friends to your place.
chapel tower
walkable to west campus, school bus comes here
managenent is responsive
fixtures arent fancy but generally the apartments are fine
Franklin Woods, a reasonable choice
Close to public library and grocery stores such as whole foods, trader's joe, aldi. Bus stop is located in front of complex entrance

Great for those on a budget
Good enough
The apartment is not a bad deal. Nearby campus about 10-15 minute drive on Harmon only. Is right next to the strip but separated enough from the craziness of the strip. Behind the palms, nearby gold coast and the orleans. Yet somehow very quiet.
Good:
Rent price especially! Assigned 1 covered parking spot, uncovered free for all other cars. Gated after 7pm. Apt offers 1 bed 1 bath & 2bed 2 bath. My 2 bed/2bath apartment has a pantry, bar area, balcony, outdoor extra storage, and a fireplace. Never had any pests or really any significant complaints. Nearby gas stations, car washes, Smith's, Planet Fitness, Starbucks, Chik fil A, Cafe Rio, Walgreens, etc.
Bad:
It is a bit of an older property so depending on the apartment, some of the amenities are a bit older I switched out my shower heads. My apt came with a new microwave, fridge, stove, and washing machines so those are new, but I can also see where they painted over some areas of the apartment that were worn and torn. The gym is not anything to brag about. I wouldn't use the sauna. The property has tennis courts that have been closed since I moved in. My particular apartment doesn't always have the best AC control during summer (had an issue 3x this summer, but it is just my apartment, I have other friends in the apartment who don't have the same issue.)
Good Place
It’s right across the Duke University west campus. Safer place. I’m facing some issues(roaches, spiders, baseboard damage in the main bedroom etc) in the house, but mgmt responds very quickly to the situation.
Kingswood is a superb budget alternative for internationals
Kingswood is affordable (when compared to other alternatives at Chapel Hill) and for the price you pay, I believe it's really nice. You have access to the pool, tennis and basket courts, a bbq area and a nice trail just next to the complex. Sure, the apartments are not the most modern or fancy, but if those characteristics are not a priority for you, I'm most than sure you will not regret being here. Also, I have not experienced any security issues so far. Finally, Isvela and Evelin, the managers, are SUPER helpful, they respond extremely quickly to every query or request. TL;DR: Kingswood is a superb option for internationals that are on a budget.
Pacific Islands
I’ve had absolutely no issues living here. Very nice neighborhood, always felt safe. The pool and amenities are very nice and I use them often. I have cats and they allow pets so that was very important to me. Apartment is very bright and homey.
Decent Apartments
Ridgewood is conveniently close to campus, a short walk to downtown Carrboro, and Franklin Street is walkable. The tenants consist mostly of students but it is really quiet here even in the summer time. Only two MBA students live here.
Within budget and proximity to school
It’s a 5-10 minute drive from school and has good connectivity to bus route too ( bus stop at the apartment) . The apartment complex has good view too!
Kingswood
I think it is a fine housing option especially given proximity to campus and the price you pay
