Fantastic Building
I love this apartment. For Manhattan, it's HUGE and has plenty of closet space. It's a doorman building and the staff is very friendly. The kitchen is a galley, not open, but is bright (window and light) and has tons of cabinet space. The trade-offs are no in-unit laundry (there's a large laundry room in the basement), no outdoor space, and no gym. It's a cat friendly building, but new tenants are not allowed to have dogs. The location is perfect, steps from Central Park and between the Columbus Circle trains and 56th and 7th (NQRW). It's a 10-15 minute walk from door to class.
Amazing Building
I have had a fantastic experience living at 7W21. The management is fantastic, the staff is extremely friendly and caring, the apartments are beautiful and they have top-notch amenities, including a gym, tv lounges, a game room with a golf simulator, a small dog run, and a rooftop with grills.
Great Building
I got a COVID deal, so my rent isn't representative of the norm these days, but the building has great amenities and great management, would highly recommend it. The only downside is the A/C doesn't work great and a 10-15 min walk to school.
Great Apartment
Good apartment - quiet neighborhood, pet friendly. Doorman 24/7 - they are all extremely friendly and helpful. Two elevators in the building, laundry in the basement. No issues at all - management is easy to work with and the residents are all really friendly.
Convenient
Very close to work, a bit touristy but still a good area. Management is great.
Pricey but great value!
I’m able to live here because my husband is working while I’m in school but we love our apartment. It isn’t too far from school and it has amazing amenities. You won’t get an in unit washer dryer anywhere else in the city for this price.
Love Hoyt & Horn
Everyone in the building is amazing, both tenants and employees. It's centrally located -- close to Trader Joe's, many subway lines, and only a short ride to Manhattan. The views are amazing and the shared facilities are always clean. Love this building.
Such a cool apartments
Very cool thanks kanye.
Hoyt & Horn, 45 Hoyt St., Brooklyn
We have a beautiful, spacious 2-bed, 2-bath apartment, on a high floor in an elevator building, with incredible views and natural light, very nice fixtures and appliances including in-apartment washer and dryer and central A/C. There's garbage and recycling on every floor, and a gym and nice indoor and outdoor common space, including a roof deck with grills, etc., for an additional fee. There's in-building maintenance and 24-hour doormen who are all incredibly friendly. There's a management app, and management are pretty responsive. The only issues so far are that there's not enough overhead lighting or light switches, and there's been a problem with leaks in some of the bathrooms, which has resulted in the ceiling of our shower being torn for going on a month and a half now
Lovely Neighborhood
London Terrace is a lovely place to live. The building really takes care of you, and your neighbors feel like a real community, which is hard to find in NYC.
Great Studio in Chelsea (20 mins from campus)
Good apartment - studio with small den/dressing room that fits a queen bed and separate galley kitchen. The separate den and kitchen make the studio space feel a lot bigger.
The apartment is quite pleasant - great light, good closet space. The building has doormen, laundry, concierge for packages and dry cleaning, a gym ($25 extra per month), a lounge, 2 outdoor courtyards, and is pet friendly.
Quick walk to the 23rd street C/E subway (2 stops to campus). Door to door it takes me 15-25 minutes to get to school depending on how long I wait for a train. It is also possible to walk to campus in about 30 mins. One more avenue away is the 1/2/3 subway making it very easy to get around the city. Grocery store on ground floor of the building and Whole Foods two avenues away.
Chelsea is a nice area - good restaurants and a lot of cool galleries. One block from the highline (so great) and a short walk to waterside park.
Management is very responsive to any issues. With old pre-war buildings there are inevitably vermin. Had mice and roaches when I first moved in - called and maintenance found and filled the hole immediately and it hasn’t been a problem since. Also, there are thin walls and I do hear my neighbors.
The only other thing was that the leasing office manager who had since left was very rude and made it difficult for me to sign a lease. That said now that I’m here I’m happy and everyone else is polite.
Would choose this apartment again.
Good value but far from the social life
Great value. Spacious modern apartment that was just build in the past decade. Modern feel and stainless steel appliances. Much more affordable than in Manhattan. Super lives on site and is able to come by to help with anything. Never seen a single pest. Includes indoor garage parking. Has a mail room where your packages are left so it wont be stolen off the sidewalk.
While it's in NJ, so it's far from all the social happenings of NYC, it's still easy to get into the city with frequent buses to/from Port Authority throughout the day.
Older safe doorman building
Nice building with basic amenities- laundry room and rooftop.
The Melar
I love living here. The apartments are new construction and very bright and cheerful. The doormen are very friendly and the super and handymen are great. When I have a problem (clogged drain, etc) it's addressed within 24 hours but usually it's closer 2-3 hours. The gym is stocked and never full, and they are building a playroom. The building has a lot of young families, and there's actually a daycare next door. Finally, it's very quiet, despite the proximity to Broadway.
