I really enjoy my apartment. It's a 3 bedroom/3 bath. One of the bedrooms does not have an en suite, but the bathroom is still spacious. The master bedroom is huge with 2 closets and the bathroom is of equal size. The apartment comes with 2 tandem parking spots and there is ample street parking outside considering this is West LA. Food is just a few blocks away down Sawtelle and there is a ramen place <1 min walk from the apartment. Campus is a 10 min drive away. There are a few homeless people that occasionally come nearby, but they mind their own business and I've lived here for a year and a half with no problems from them. I would recommend this place to any Anderson student looking for housing.

Pros: Close to campus (15min drive time), modern/new interior, many UCLA Anderson students live here, bars/restaurants close by
Cons: Expensive, noisy (if room faces Santa Monica), only 2 parking spots for 3bed/3bath

The unit itself is beautiful - gourmet kitchen, large living area, 1 small bedroom, 1 medium-sized one, and a huge master suite. Enough closets for storage and the in-unit washer/dryer is clutch. The gym downstairs is enough if you are trying to stay active and are creative. If you're obsessed with going to the gym then invest in a gym membership.

The only concern I have is the new building manager sucks. You need to follow up every email you send with a phone call to get a response. The old building manager was fantastic, unfortunately she moved out of the building. If we had the old building manager I would rate this complex a 9 or 10.

The building is only three years old, so everything is new and works well. The appliances are top notch, the floor plans are large, and the location is unbeatable.

Butler Cabana is in a great location, and our apartment is spacious. Our primary complaint is the management which is sometimes unresponsive as well as the shoddily designed unit and appliances.

Overall, this is a convenient location with some recently updated apartments. The owners and/or mgmt company isn't too concerned with upkeep. After being gone for a week or more, I always have to run my shower for a few minutes before getting in to let all the build up rust colored water pass through. We also occasionally have furniture and shopping carts in the hallway. When residents move out, sometimes they just leave furniture on the sidewalk. Maintenance is responsive and our apartment is spacious, so it's certainly bearable.

Great location. Great value for your money. Lived here with the same roomates the 2 years of the MBA.
Don't expect much noise or parties, neighbors complaint a lot and they have internal security to shutdown parties after midnight.

Barry Hill Apartments

My overall experience living in Barry Hill has been positive. The apartments have very spacious open floor plans, in-unit washer/dryer, its a short drive to UCLA, its walking distance from many great restaurants and its in a safe area. The rent $$ is slightly higher than average, but it's worth it.

Living here is great - the layout of the apartment is fantastic. We have a huge kitchen and living room. All three of us have our own bathrooms, and each have 2 closets. The drawbacks are that we only have 2 parking spots for 3 people, so we rotate who is on the street. Also the fixtures and finishes could be a bit better - they are beautiful, but not the highest quality. Also the elevator in the building is slow - but that's really minor. Overall, really happy living here - the apartment is very bright as well, and pretty sound proof.

Really great apartment for someone just moving to Los Angeles before really having a true feel for the city and its different neighborhoods. The apartment is great - has great kitchen appliances, large windows and lots of sunlight, good floors, nice sized bathrooms and bedrooms. Nothing to really complain about, other than that I wish the apartment had come with 3 parking spots instead of 2 for a 3 bedroom.

Spacious apartments

The apartment itself is a pretty solid, spacious apartment that's comfortable to live in. We have a good amount of living room and dining room space, a pretty large kitchen, and a very large master bedroom (with a walk-in closet and master bathroom that includes a hot tub). The additional two bed rooms are significantly smaller, but definitely manageable for those with fewer possessions.

Wiseman Management was pretty terrible to deal with though. They are very unresponsive and they also lied to us during the process (we were told we would get two standalone parking spots and instead got two tandem spots). Our apartment also had a number of issues when we moved in including defective power outlets in the bathroom and mold in the water dispenser of the refrigerator. That said, our initial landlord quit, retired, or got fired and is no longer with Wiseman. We haven't had any issues with the new landlord.

The location is great because we are just west of the 405 and a couple blocks away from both Wilshire and Santa Monica, so we avoid a lot of the noise from those heavily congested areas. We're also walking distance to great restaurants (especially ramen and Mexican cuisine) and bars where a lot of UCLA Anderson folks go out to. The Santa Monica beach and pier are also a quick, cheap Uber ride away. We also haven't had too many issues with traffic when attempting to get to campus. Rather than taking the 405, we usually just take Wilshire or Ohio to Sepulveda and then use back roads to get to Sunset and then to campus.
