Can't Beat It Here

Best place to live in Philly. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping spots nearby. Apartments are very nice. Don't get disturbed by neighbors. Maintenance team helps us all the time. The roof top has a BBQ and a big TV.

Great Apartment

Having moved here just a few months ago, I absolutely love the apartment complex. The highlights are the proximity to the city, decent gym, but the key aspect is the amazing front desk service (during weekday) as well as the parking garage directly across the apartment. Also, love the free coffee!

Love it!

Great experience. It's in a great location near good restaurants, bars and shopping. I love the common area upstairs, the gym and the bike storage room. The apartment is big and cozy with an amazing view of the city. The dog community is great too!

Very Pet Friendly

The Collins is a nice place to live. People are friendly, and dogs are allowed to live here. The dogs are real cool and I met a few of them during my stay here. I've became very good friends with some of the dogs here. We hang out a lot and it really makes the stay here extra nice.

Great place to live!

My husband and I have been at the Collins for 3mo now and it is definitely the nicest apartment building we've lived in. The amenities are wonderful (rooftop bar/grill/party area, free coffee, gym), the staff are friendly and competent, and the location is AMAZING. We have had zero problems with management.

There are a few minor caveats: 1) what they call a one-bedroom is really a studio with a partial partition between the bedroom and kitchen, and 2) a lot of young students live here so if you are trying to avoid living around partiers this might now be the place for you (although we have never had issues with noise from neighbors)

The Collins

My experience at The Collins has been great so far! We were the first residents to move into our apartment, so everything was brand new. The Collins staff has been very friendly, professional, and helpful during all of our interactions. The package locker system is a huge convenience, as is the gym and extra laundry machines for bulk items. The roof deck/lounge is a great place to meet with friends and grill some food. It also includes a small area for dogs to be let out, which is perfect for rainy days when you can't go for a long walk. Despite being pretty close to full capacity, there are no noise or overcrowding issues at all.

Great Apartment

I've enjoyed living here so far. Still relatively new, so all the appliances and walls etc are very clean. I love the close proximity to work (Jefferson). It's really in the best part of center city. It's lose to lots of restaurants and shops. It is also very convenient to live next to Target and PetSmart.

The Collins

The apartment building is brand new. The floorplan is very open and spacious. There is a beautiful rooftop with dog park and a nice gym. We can conveniently receive packages using an automated locker system. We have had a several maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved. A good apartment in Center City.

Midtown Village Reviews

Access to restaurants, attractions, and shops in Center City and even nearby in South Philly or Rittenhouse Square is superb. There is generally a lot of street traffic and drug addiction and homelessness are common in the area, but typically not a source of harm for passersby and also not much different than in any other major urban center in the U.S.
Best neighborhood in Center City - can't beat the price for what you get. Amazing location, just a short walk to Rittenhouse or Old City. Can't beat living in the heart of Center City, and only a 7 minute walk to the hospital. Plenty of night life.
Some crime in the area, but overall, great bar and restaurant scene with easy access to public transit.
Center city is arguably safe but sometimes there are some issues. Police are responsive.
Midtown Village is quickly becoming one of the best places in Philly to live. The quick downside is there's a lot of construction in the area, but that's also the positive if you're okay with the feel of a city that's constantly changing. The area already has lots of great bars and restaurants, and all the new construction is adding in great new options for grocery, coffee, and convenience items. There's now a Target, Mom's Grocery, multiple Wawas, Sweetgreen, etc. all in close proximity to mainstays like Reading Terminal.
Midtown Village is a fast-growing and both has great mainstay restaurants like El Vez and Barbuzzo as well as amazing chains like Chipotle and Sweet Green. The addition of a Target, Wawa, CVS, Starbucks, and Petco makes it even more accessible and naturally the location is as central as you can be in Philadelphia. In comparing options, you usually can get a bit of a discount versus Rittenhouse Square and Old City, mainly because the Midtown Village brand is still being built up, but you really can't beat the location and access to amenities. The only thing it's missing is a full-service grocery store, but between Reading Terminal Market, Target, Walgreens, and CVS you're pretty set. The main downside can be the noise and litter that comes with being in the heart of downtown, but it's a trade off I'm more than willing to make and has been getting better with time.
I love this neighborhood! It's very lively and great for young adults. There are a lot of cool restaurants/bars around. It's a little pricey but what can you expect from being in the center of a city like Philadelphia?
The area is filled with lots of young people. I don't feel unsafe walking around even at night because there are people out all the time. There are a couple of narrow streets I probably wouldn't walk through though.
The neighborhood is amazing and getting better every day! It combines access to great daily conveniences (coffee shops, Target, Wawa, etc.) with some of the best independent restaurants and bars in Philly. The location is incredibly central overall and transit options can get you pretty much anywhere in the city. It can get a bit noisy, though that's the price you pay for being downtown.
