Good but not the best

+Great location
+24-hour security
+Quick response for maintenance requests
+Easy to rent for international students

- Different sizes of rooms for the same amount of rent (some of them are very small and have kitchenettes in the middle of the room)
- Initial room conditions were not good (not very clean, needed paint etc.) but repaired upon request
- The heat goes only up to 74F during the winter
- Low WiFi speed

Overpriced Old Building

Its location is amazing, but the building facility and overall experience does not justify its price.

Studio Living

Tiny Studio with great neighbors and just a 10-15 minute walk to school. There's also a free bus operated by NYU, further reducing the commute.

Popular NYU option

Not bad for students. It's on the older side, but reasonably priced and convenient.

Comfortable, but reminded me of undergrad.

While Palladium is extremely comfortable and convenient, it would not be my first choice (it wasn't to begin with). It is a residence that includes undergraduate students and you are treated like one of them. For example, you have to sign in guests and there is a policy around how many guests you can host in a given month. The room is pretty small and there is no real space to cook.
Having said that, this was my first time living in the city and it was convenient to have facilities as well as resources for problem-resolution. I also greatly appreciated not having to share my bathroom with anyone.

Great location

Palladium is boasts a great location. It is next to Trader Joe's, multiple subway lines, and there is a gym right in the building. It is also only a 15min walk to Stern School of Business.

Good short-term experience

Useful for NYU students looking to move to NYC for the first time, highly expensive and small living space.

Palladium apartments (NYU Grad housing)

The Palladium is spartan, but fine. Even though it's advertised as Grad student housing, make no mistake: it's still a dorm. Grad students have their own studio apartments, with their own bathroom and kitchenette. It is extremely convenient location-wise (less than a block from the Union sq metro, easy walk to school), and has a pool, gym, and eating facility in the building. The building is not good for hosting friends, as all guests must sign-in and leave an ID at the front desk. This can be inconvenient.

Greenwich Village Reviews

I love this part of town. It’s bustling & vibrant with heaps of restaurants, bars, cheap eats & Washington Square park which is so beautiful and so much going on - artists, musicians etc. Close to the classy & beautiful West Village on one side and the fun, young East Village on the other. Easy to get everywhere on the subway & not too far from either the Hudson River or the East River.
Close to campus, very safe area, but also very busy! Union Square can be hectic at times, with lots of people ALWAYS around. Make sure your apartment has thick windows, or doesn't face the street...

Near to multiple major grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, other various), as well as a thousand restaurants, bars and fast food places. Multiple gym chains in the area, from NYSC and Planet Fitness to Equinox. Close to all amenities, including dry cleaning and shoe repair, shopping.
Nice neighborhood. Good restaurants and bars around. They can be pretty pricey. Make sure to check the ratings to make sure you get what you pay for! We live very close to a grocery store. There are a lot of metro stations nearby and it is easy to walk to school.
I like the atmosphere of Greenwich Village (and Washington Square Park), the proximity to school, and that it doesn't have skyscrapers like other parts of town. There are always new restaurants to try and new things to do.
It's a fun neighborhood with lots to do. Everything is a few steps away. The metro is also super close by. I really like the neighborhood. The only thing is it will get loud at night.
Great location especially if you want to check out NYC's top restaurants & bars. Also close to several subway stations so commuting is pretty convenient
Extremely convenient -- Walkable to many transit lines (B/D/F/M, 6, 1, A/C/E, N/Q/R); Walkable to West Village, Soho, East Village, Union Square
Awesome food and beverage options, easy transport, good shopping, close proximity to NYU (a pro for some, a con for others).
