Lots of Utility Fees
Rent generally increases every year, with lots of confusing utilities. But it's safe and clean, on the 23 bus route, with carport parking available, and a gym and pool.

Great!
It is great! Quiet neighborhood. But quite pricy. Can't afford with grad stipend.

Review
I really like my apartment and the maintenance staff are very responsive. There are also bus stops right in front of the complex that will take you straight to the medical campus and areas downtown. Two big things I always have an issue with is how much they raise the rent each time you renew your lease, and the fact that the staff at the leasing office usually aren't able to help with things you would think they would be able to help with. The apartment also has a pretty good amount of social events, but you cannot take part in them if you work typical hours (9 am to 5 pm) as the events are usually during the work day and on weekdays.

Northstar Villas
I recommend this property as long as the student is able to drive in every day, as the property is located on North Campus.

Awesome set-up
For the amenities you get, the rent is cheap. It’s close to the highway and to the grocery stores. Only downside is the north campus bus stop is a few minutes walk away. Main campus bus is right out front.

Great Place AWAY from campus
Windemere Park is a great place to live for young professionals, including medical students. I prefer to live away from where I work. The AATC bus line is right outside my front door. The apartments are far nicer than those located near the medical school. Vaulted ceilings and fireplaces are the norm. GREAT fitness center also! Newly renovated with free weights, cardio machines and weight machines. Pets allowed for $30 each/month. Most importantly, maintenance is ON IT! So friendly and always fast to do repairs.
