HHT
I absolutely love living at HHT. I live alone with my dog and this building has been the perfect place for us. Right next to my building is Highland Park which is a 300 acre park. I did not want to live somewhere where my dog would have to pee on the sidewalks. Instead, my dog has 300 acres of surrounding open land where we walk daily. HHT has some of the biggest floor plans in Pittsburgh and the floor to ceiling windows offer an enormous amount of sunlight and are beyond breathtaking. I live in a one bedroom and one bathroom apartment that is beyond spacious. My apartment also has an in unit washer and dryer which was imperative. 71A and 71B are the two bus options you have to take to Pitt Law everyday. The bus stop is right outside of HHT and we are the first stop to be picked up on the route and last to be dropped off, but it is not a long ride. The community at HHT is very very close knit. I have so many friends that live in the building and the property manager, Tena, is amazing! One of my favorite memories of HHT so far is having our annual "Doggy Dip Day" which is the day before the pool gets closed for the year, all residents are allowed to bring their dogs down to swim!

Horrible, dont live here
Management lies, they don't fix anything. You'll go weeks at a time without heat, electric, or water. They make up charges and put them under utilities. There are no sprinklers in the apartments, nor are there any fire extinguishers. Again, no not live here.

Highland House Towers Review
I've lived in this apartment for over a year now and overall, I like living in this apartment. I think it's a hidden gem, as many native Pittsburghers don't know about this building, and the location it's in is very lowkey. Every unit has floor to ceiling windows, allowing for a great view of Highland Park and a lot of sunlight to enter the apartment.
The downsides of living in this apartment is that the water pressure might be low, or there might not be any water at all. This is a result of the City of Pittsburgh's maintenance on the surrounding roads. This is my biggest complaint but the lack of water/water pressure is very infrequent, maybe once every two or three months, for only a few hours.

Highland House Tower Review
What attracted me to this apartment was the floor to ceiling windows in every room. The 2B/2B apartment I'm in is pretty spacious but the floor plan I have has a small kitchen, which is the biggest downside in my apartment. The bathrooms are also on the smaller side, but it's compensated for by having large bedrooms. Management is hard to get ahold of on the phone, however, the ladies in the front office are so nice when I get ahold of them in person. The neighborhood is nearly always quiet, which is great for studying. I feel very safe walking to the building from the bus stop, even at night. I like that the bus stop is right outside of the building, so it's very easy to catch the bus to and from a lot of places. The people I've met in this building are also very nice and welcoming. Most residents are middle aged people or young couples/families so it seems diverse in that sense.
