Great location, rude staff.

I really did enjoy my apartment, and I had relatively few maintenance issues during the three years I lived here. But unfortunately, every time I did have a minor issue, the office staff was unnecessarily rude to me. You'll see on google reviews that the general sentiment about the office staff is that they are nice to you right up until the moment you sign the lease. After that, they seem to forget their manners entirely. In my experience, this is absolutely correct. I value politeness, and I abhor rudeness. If you're like me, find another place to live than Roosevelt Square.

Decent unit for a good price

The apartment is a bit older than some of the neighboring complexes nearby, but the cost is considerably cheaper. The leasing office can be hard to get in contact with, but when they are needed, they are usually reliable.

Overall great place

Roosevelt Square is in a great location, super close to the light rail and a nice small park. The apartments are comfortable and floorplans are spacious. Maintenance responds very quickly to issues within an apartment, however, some of the amenities or other parts of the complex are not very well maintained. Although I don't consider the walls to be very thin, the hallway gets extremely noisy and echoes really loudly into the apartments. The units are a little bit outdated so I don't think it's as good a value as some other places. This is also a great place for dogs!

Almost great

Maintenance is very responsive, our apartment was renovated right before we moved in, it’s walking distance to the downtown campus and it’s a nice area of metro Phoenix. That said, rent has gone up each year we’ve lived here and the front office is hit or miss on responsiveness. They do add a lot of little fees to your base rent and base rent is what’s advertised, so be aware and budget for that.

Good amenities but not super modern

Overall, my experience with Roosevelt Square has been really good. The location is great (close to school and by a park), but it’s not as modern as other buildings. With that being said, it’s nice that there are multiple parking garages that you can park in for free and the pool and gym are both good as well. Also pet friendly!

Random costs

It’s a safe and close knit community, but the rent is more expensive than other apartments and there are a number of hidden fees. For example, you have to pay monthly for valet trash, package delivery, and utility monitoring.

Nice place to live

The management has been very nice. The building is close to the ASU Law building and several students live here so it's nice to have people to walk to class with. The pool is very nice. Covered parking in the garage is great as it keeps my car from overheating and guarantees me a place to park.

Reasonable price near a dog park, not particularly modern

I have enjoyed living at Roosevelt Square so far. I moved in before 1L and I’m currently living here through my 2L year. The rent went up a bit when I renewed the lease - it used to be the cheapest place around. Now, it’s still reasonable and the location is great. However, it’s not as modern as some of the other buildings in the downtown area. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be close to the law school for a reasonable price and also close to a park for their furry friend. I also don’t have to pay extra for parking in the garage. I am only considering moving for my last year in law school because I would like a nicer kitchen and more storage space. It would be nice to have the entire building enclosed as well - hallways are open to the outside and therefore the building stays warm over the summer.

The proximity to school is very convenient and there are plenty of bars/restaurants in walking distance. The density of students who live here is also really nice because you'll always have peers to socialize with nearby.
There are tons of fun bars and restaurants around, and it's a good distance from campus.
Roosevelt is the best neighborhood to live in downtown.
This is a great location to live in. There are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby, and it's close enough to schools and other downtown locations that are worth visiting. It's also right off the 10, and you can easily travel anywhere in the Valley.
Lots of new apartment complexes, restaurants, and outdoor space. Some homeless people, but not enough to make me feel very uncomfortable as a woman living alone. Overall a safe, cute, and entertaining neighborhood.
It’s safe, fairly nice. Some homeless people around, but I’ve only had positive interactions with them. Park nearby, coffee shop right next door, some solid places to eat, plenty of street parking.
We went out one night and there were lots of young people out at the bars and restaurants. There is a nice park behind the building and a coffee shop just down the block.
Downtown Phoenix is like any other major downtown area, there’s crime. I feel safe in my apartment and walking to class though!
